Geez thats an interesting one with Puck. heard he played a trial game for EP in the b's a few weeks back, but thought it was just for extra fitness as Gaza didn't play that weekend. was tipped to be the next captain at gaza too, after the 2 legends eventually retire that is. i guess with his mates like keen and gatto and them there proved to be the main thing.
but they seemed to do alright without em last week anyway.[/quote]

From what i was told today he was nowhere near being the next captain of the club... People are very dissapointed in how he left but hey thats life we move on.

I didn't see this game, first one I've missed for many moons, but am told the effort and commitment was much better than last week.
To get within 10 points of Goodies on their home ground is a good effort so things look to be on the 'up'

charge him $200 for subs and that will ease some of the pain!

I believe that is what has happened and am sure the move was on the cards for a while, there wouldn't be much pain for a club that is losing a B grade player to the club he originally came from??
Having to pay the full alotment of fees when eastern park let him go scott free in 2007 is what would be very disappointing..

To say Alex is a B grade player is WAY off the mark. Had an average year last year, but is an A grade player.

i believe the difference is that he hadn't already signed up to play with EP in 2007 like he had with Gaza this year, and didn't leave during the season. that's why charging the fees would be fair this time.
And how many b grade games has he played in the last 3 years? probably only 1. one would think that makes him a regular a grader

Certainly an A grader in any division 1 side so will be handy for Eastern Park to have him back!

BoP i think you might find that he played 1 game in 2006 for EP without paying any subs so EP would have been well within their rights, as Gaza have been, to charge that fee back in 2007 but did the right thing and didn't want to hinder the development of one of their juniors. From all reports alex only played that game in round 1 after indicating to gaza he wanted to leave and he was told "play this week and if you still feel the same way, we'll sort something out" would he have to had paid the fees if he had have pulled out of that game last week?

i think they will be a very good side this year. they have a good Midfield and now they have a big Ruckman that gives them first use as well

The reason Alex has only just left Gaza is because what he was told was going to happen and what actually did happen were two completely different things.

There was a fair bit of bickering going on between the Gaza boys during their A grade game against Henley. Also there were a couple of instructions that their players didnt seem to want carry out!!

Broadies started pretty well, but Salisbury North Got on top after the first qtr and was cruising in the last qtr. Broadview's FF is pretty Good though and he dont miss much.
