How are Iggies going? Didn't they only just lose to Eastern Park who seem to be the pacesetters this year? I think they may be a sneaky chance against Walkerville.

Firstly I would have thought the pacesetters were Flinders Shreck after knocking off Kilburn....

Iggies weren't too bad against us however we did kick 21 points which made the scoreboard look a lot more respectable (a lot of easy shot under no pressure), then they got beat by Woody South. Rated Walkies much higher.... so no i wouldn't have thought so.

I can only go on the email newsletter I receive from afar and various texts and phone calls, not having watched the guys at all. We have mainly recruited young from the school, so obviously not expecting a massive impact there for the ones, and relying on the kids blooded on the last 2-3 years who have shown good signs. Rolfe a key, and he's started well, but I coming along to look and see for myself, and catch up with same faces I see a couple of times a year for the last 20 odd years. As such, I'm probably not much use to you with facts.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

You're probably right Boozehound. Don't claim the underdog status just yet. I think Eastern Park have shown more and by all accounts have a midfield that is impossible to stop when they're on. We've still got a lot of kids and were probably lucky to beat Kilburn who obviously weren't at their best.

Don't quite think it's a two-horse race yet mate...

mumbles wrote:Very even first half, but Para Hills played some of the best footy ive seen for a while in that third quarter. Hanson had a quiet day but still managed 7. I think some of your boys need to forget about young Power and concentrate on playing footy.

Mate I don't think Power is anything to worry about. I had Power, Rebbeck, Clutton, King and Goodwin at various time during the game, think a couple of those blokes are worth worrying a bit more about than Lynton...

Who else do Salisbury think they can beat smac? Do you need 4 wins to avoid relegation?

I haven't actually gone out for a game this year, so can't comment on their form too much. I think the results of this week (in particular, Walkies should account for Igs comfortably) will see them sitting in 7th, ahead of Woodville South, Igs and Salisbury West. If they can beat those 3 all season, that'll be 6 wins and will keep them in div 3. An odd win jagged against the other clubs would make the season useful - a good grounding for next season.

I'm sure Pag can correct me on any of that, but that is where I see them this year.

Shrek, your detective skills are amazingly good, especially in a case as as hard to crack as my identity.

We're confident we'll stay up in A3. Never played Woody South so can't really comment on them, but we always seem to play pretty well down at HQ so playing Iggies won't hold any fears for us. Don't see why SPOC are that much better than us either.

And we don't necessarily target Power mumbles, he just doesn't shut up. Much like yours truly.
