As a club that has been on the end of a string of "non accidental" incidents behind play, we pride ourselves on not being snipers.
[/quote]

U sure about that FC, i saw one player from ur team today throw more cheap punches than he got touches. (he got 3 hits in by the way), apart from that it was pretty much a Modbury show. Sam Scudds & Nick Jolly battle did not dissapoint. Great tussle from the two young lads and i think Jolly only ended up with one goal to his name. Modbury played two quarters and showed too much class for the falcons .

FC in regards to the change rooms, apart from some of the best visitors showers i have ever had the olympic size swimming pool that awaited us as we ran out the rooms was a scary sight. To be honest my freestlye isnt strong and it made me slightly nervous!

Can everyone stop assuming I hate Matt Jolly? Yes, I think he's precious but that doesn't mean I don't rate him

Craigy  He didnt hit precious did he?

I left just after half time adn we were only 5 goals down. Sounds like you blokes played some footy in the 2nd half.

We didnt have any did we? Forwards aren't real good when the whole team only kicks 5 goals, but then anyone can figure that out, so why ask?

Modbury didnt play well was some good pressure so was good in that respect. played some ok footy in the last quarter and a half and one umpire pulled out some baffling frees in PNU defence 'Molly' Mitchell was ropable haha. Sam Scudds played a great game and kept Nick Jolly goal less and PNU gave gunning way to much room.

Macca gave a great spray to the umpires at half time through the captains ears which was very humerous.

Payneham NU 5.10 40 v Modbury 17.11 113
SMOSH West Lakes 8.8 56 v Edwardstown 16.11 107
Athelstone 19.13 127 v Pembroke OS 8.11 59
Scotch OC 6.9 45 v PHOS Camden 13.13 91

some predictable results here???

Woah, don't go there, hey FC.

The word trainer is used very loosely in this particular situation.

Saw the SHOC v Uni match. Was very close until 3 quarter time then SHOC ran away with it. Roachy made the call to open up the forward line for the final stanza but it didn't get down there. Uni didn't have much of a forward line anyway and lack physical strength across the board. SHOC's tackling was far superior. Didn't rate Uni's full back either, was a big log but got out-bodied and gave Tasborski too much of a head start. Juniper looked dangerous all day and no. 20 (Yeomans I think) was BOG for mine. Alessci and Knowles were good for Uni but they desparately need some key postion players.

Was an even game for the most part. Shoc kicked out to a 5 goal lead in the first qtr, then Uni pegged them back. SHOC kicked 2 goals with a min to go in the 3rd to be up by about 3 goal at 3 qtr time and kicked away in the last. Was a good quality game of footy.

Should be a cracker between PHOS and Modbury this week. Saw that the Weed played on Saturday...a one off or playing the majority of the year?

Edwardstown smashed us.

Good side. No stars. Just a lot of contributors.

Very dissapointing effort from us. Shattering to lose at home. And good to see we got the same swearing umpire again this week.

On a positive note, we had a fundraising night for an injured lad at the club on saturday night. There was a an incidnet in the b grade agaisnt Adelaide university where he clashed head and then smashed his head on the turf and was consequently carried away on a stretcher. Got taken to hospital where he spent a week or so and then was moved to a rehab clinic where he was meant to stay for 4-6 weeks. Somehow, the fella managed to get out within a week and is recovering well now thank god!

The club had a good and services auction and managed to raise several thousand dollars. Was an awesome intiative put forward by very old CLub coach Anthony Forby.

DOnations came from left right and centre, great to see rival clubs like Hneley helping out as well. Great community effort.
