Won by 9 at the end.
The start definately cost CLG.

i think football lesson is a bit strong but they did beat us in most areas. 11 new blokes in the a grade side from last year so it will take a bit of time to learn how each other plays etc.
hopefully when the return fixture comes around we put on a better showing. was impressed with BOS pressure and their numbers at the ball, also had plenty of blokes giving second third efforts and backing each other in with their skills. heard that they were missing two of their best players also which is a scary thought.

They certainly towed you up in the ruck even with their center half back rucking the majority of the game, was very impressive watching it.

i thought the clg were a little undisciplined at times with a slight push after a player got rid of the ball and a few side on / front on bumps after disposal. umps were consistent in picking it up and our lads just bounced up and went to the next contest.
looking forward to this week against k'worth at home on the relatively new deck at park 2.

Central United played a good brand of footy for majority of the game with some good work in close and accurate disposal by foot resulting in a number of shots on goal. I think at half time we had 5.12 on the board so we certainly didn't do ourselves any favours early. We only took the lead for the first time late in the last quarter when Units became a little undisciplined, giving away several free kicks. They, like Ingle Farm by the sounds of it, have certainly taken steps in the right direction to becoming more competitive. I think this Div will be a lot closer than it has been i the past. If Units keep playing the way they did on the weekend they will be more than competitive in most matches and should be around the 5 come finals time. They probably do lack a bit of depth though, as their b grade struggled.
