Are you the recruiting manager Jimmy?

Told you I was coming down to look at training................

You sure Jackman's clearance papers are signed? I bought him a few beers at the Top Pub last night..... Russell Boyd was in his ear as well. Then a nice bottle of Clare Valley red at The Barn.....

Can't afford an extra $10.00 to get a decent McLaren Vale Red Jimmy.
P.S....Jacko is in Tasmania at the minute

seaton v portland - 1 goal would love to watch these 2 belt the crap out of each other
cbcoc v para know - nothing bout the hills so will go with the dolphins
kilburn v smosh - will be one sided but not to massive a blow out.
mitcham v scotch - scotch are giving us nothing an mitcham will solid imo.

Old Iggies by 4 goals, very good side, have all their recruits playing too. PAOC all talk.
Portland by 10 points, only due to Seaton's injuries
Para Hills by 2 goals, strong side will miss Hanson but got enough to cover
Smosh by 3 goals, too strong
Mitcham by 10 goals, Scotch have lost too many players, will be a long year for them.

Can seriously play from all reports. My Hills League source reckons he will be the best player in D3 by a fair way.

Won the bridgewater best and fairest last year. Only players of the highest standard can say they went up to bridgewater for a year and win the b and f. :D

We'll be able to field a B grade side, not sure that there will be much depth this year. Definitely no C grade that's for sure.

That's good news that you'll get a B's together, C's was always going to be tough after last year.

Probably 3 very different groups in the competition this year then. Kilburn and scotch and maybe mitcham and CBC in the last 4 spots with Scotch and kilburn bound for division 4 and mitcham and CBC being OK. At the top end you will have the big boys Para, PAOC and Portland then followed by the group trying to fill the last 2 spots with Seaton, the Lions and Iggies. What do you guys reckon on the comp but that seems fair?

How hard is it for a team like PAOC to go top in Div 4 and follow up a year later with a top 4 position in Div 3.....or even a premiership in Div 3.

Its hard for any side coming up, not just PAOC.
eg Portland and Mitcham finished in 7 and 8th last year

From what it sounds though, PAOC have given themselves the best oppurtunity with the players they have recruited.
get on board the thunder train!!!

when teams go up in my estimation, they need to add 5-7 players of a-grade standard and at least 2-3 of those need to be in the top 5 or so at the club to be truely competative.
and even then unless your team from the previous year absolutly smashed everyone (which we didnt) your still not a definate.

also you have to factor in blokes not who leave for whatever reason. which we've also had, as i think all clubs would.

I reckon iggies will be better then people think. Picked up at least 3 ex-SANFL premiership players from sturt and eagles, plus have got a lot of uni kids out there with a few being very good country footy kids.
After 18 rounds (and yes i am aware rd1 hasnt being played yet)
SMOSH, Iggies, PH, Portland, PAOC, Seaton, day light , Mitcham, Scotch, CBCOC, Kilburn

Hope your right with those predictions Suri : Especially if it was after the Major Round as well
So you are saying the following
1 - SMOSH
2 - Iggies
3 - Para Hills
4 - Portland
5 - PAOC
6 - Seaton
7 - Mitcham
8 - Scotch
9 - CBC
10 - Kilburn

Reckon you are close Suri. Top 5 + maybe seaton 6th look a standout but will depend on there huge injury list I am guessing as will a few other clubs who have not been hit as hard just yet. Remember a lot of sides will get them in the year tho
