or you could look at it like they are trying to get as much match practise as possible before the season starts?

So lets just say these people had injured themselves, why would Bourke be pissed off? you called them "fringe players" (I don't agree with this tag, but Ill run with it for the sake of this discussion), this tag means they wouldn't affect the major layout/structure of the team and I'm sure there would be others to stand up and take the opportunity with open arms... So had these people injured themselves, They are only dis-advantaging themselves of the opportunity.

At the end of the day we're a div 6 team of unpaid players, and while we all love the game we all have an life outside of football.

oh look..you play them first round..what a coincidence! :)

I hear one of the Zorich lads has been trimming down in the gym and is looking quite the machine. Could dominate this year.

You heard right Q. Our Captain Ty has lost somewhere between 35-40kg since August last year. I have been around footy for a while and it is by far the biggest transformation I have ever seen. He has gone from being in the bottom few of our running drills last year to finishing top 3 in our various running tests this pre-season. It's like having a new recruit! His younger brother Adrian has also begun the same training program and has dropped about 15kg so far. His older brother Michael (Ziggy) is the one we are trying to pin down for regular games this year. One of the most talented players I have seen. He could only play a handful of games last year due to returning to state league basketball. He has stopped playing bball and is trying to sort something out with work so he can return to TOSFC as a regular player this year.

Overall we are travelling ok. We should realistically finish top 3 all going to plan but I don't know much about Glenunga and Blacks who look like threatening for those positions too. IMO Kenilworth are the ones to beat.
