That is just a sh*t comment! Pooraka were a very strong and successful club in the SAFL days, and were also a div 1 SAAFL club up until 2003. No one likes to see a club go broke. Pull ya head in ya tortoise!

why it a shit comment, i'm sure there a fair few people that had wish they didn't play pooraka. once you get that feral tag it's pretty hard for most people to care about the club. maybe if the club cleaned it's act up then it would be back at the top and would be signing some big name recruits.

I think the word you are looking for is "throw". But my yard is fine though, thanks.

I will have to agree that last year Pooraka were pretty bad in the reserves. I do recall when they travelled out to Mitcham one of the supporters was yelling absolute filth and it ended up being one of the players mums. When one of the Mitcham players commented 'Gee she's got a mouth on her' her son tries to knock his head off and starts an all in brawl.
Then when we played out at Pooraka the players kept trying to hit Mitchams players off the ball or after they disposed off it until they started winning then they stopped. Hopefully they cleaned up their act as they are a proud club and wouldn't wanna have that reputation like Eastern Park, Brahma Lodge and Ingle Farm to name a few have had in the past.

Okay, So we are the only club that has passionate supporters that may let their emotions get the better of them??

Vs Mitcham res 2nd time round I remember it quite differently, I remember Mitcham folding like wet origami, I think they had their finals place stitched up and didn't really want to be there? but opinions vary!!

Please go to the SAAFL website and look at the tribunal report from 2012, we had 4 Cat A offences which is 4 more than we'd like, Were no angels, but probably not at sinister as your making us out to be.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

You mean Dene Steele, from Salisbury West?

I only spoke to him about 3 weeks ago - he did say he still hadn't signed at Westies at that point but said he'd probably stay though.

He did also say that a heap of blokes had left too.

That would have to be the one.

I was talking to a bloke that I play cricket with who's play at Westies this season at our presentations on Saturday night and I asked him how they were going, he said they were going well much to my surprise, said they've had a good preseason, were close to signing a few new players, had alot of young fella's in their side and convincingly beat Gummeraca in their trial game on Friday night. Seems as though alot of their outs are would be C graders as discussed on here before but their are quite a few names on the clearance list I recognise that are A graders.

Now kids - if it was your club that everyone was talking about, you'd all be the first to ark up and say there's nothing to see here.

Truth is that in any given year there are probably a good number of clubs that run off the smell of an oily rag, or are lucky they're still running at all.

Heresay is a wonderful thing....

*edit* Actually, I think that's hindsight
