When and Where mate?

It has been reported on the Div 5 forum that Elizabeth beat Golden Grove by 11 goals.

No comment by any GG member about the trial yet. im curious about how they saw us form a higher div perspective. I missed 95% of the B grade but i hear they were awesome, 30 goal win against our B grade is a great result for them

i didnt get out to see the game but ive heard that there were quite a few A graders from last year in the B grade and vice versa. i just think choccies was trying to hide them from weavs and keep them for himself..

with the new coach coming into the club it is sometimes hard to pick where a bloke will line up for the first trial.. as we all know a player can look great on the track but be quite different when it comes to hitting a pack.

hopefully the balance is a little better for the game against Mt Compass this week and we get a better result.
Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.

Our C's were good as was expected. Elizabeth had alot of kids playing so it was no surprise. Our/my B's won by 100+ and showed some real potential. The A's were disappointing due to a number of factors. At least 8 key players missing (no excuse I know as other clubs have that problem as well at this time of the year), coach rewarded some guys who have trained hard since November with a game and it probably showed they were out of their depth. Also the B's had a couple of A graders who hadn't trained a lot so weren't gifted a game but should be back by round 1. Poor skills, lack of a ruckman due to rucks number 1 and 2 not playing and being filled by last years C grade ruckman, lack of accountability thru the middle. Many reasons. But it's not to take anything away from Elizabeth who were very good, well drilled, had great skills and attacked the ball hard. They should have a ripper year despite their depth looking a bit thin... Hopefully a better effort this week against Mount Compass
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Not that I'm aware of Quichey. Not in the higher grades anyway. Just a big, bald, tattooed outfielder who will rock up to the club for a kick once the GF is over :)

Yeah he looks alright & he knows a few of the boys out here so decided to knock back the cash the Thunder were throwing at him & come out for kick with his mates instead...
How are your Portland boys shaping up Fisty are u & your brother having a kick again, maybe a chance at that B's flag now Felch isnt in charge lol... ;)

Great ground to play on (My favorite), is the 2nd biggesst ground (Square metres) in SA behind Hamra Homes Oval. Same dimensions at AAMI and Noarlunga (Apparently) but the boundaries at St.Marys are closer to the fence.

I would hate having to play there all the time
I knew it was one of the biggest or something like that

I actually prefer playing on bigger grounds each week, or actual 'football ovals' rather than some of the tripe we'll have to play on this yr- Brahma, Hope Valley, Plympton etc. Always find it frustrating playing on postage stamps.

Im different
prefer to play on smaller ovals
some times they can be too small but smaller oval means its in close and makes for a tougher contest most of the time
guess everyone has there prefrences

Have to say im with Fisty & Piccachu on this one give me the smaller grounds ;)

always like to come downa nd have a look and put my 2 bobs worth in Roaring
he knows a few boys at alot of clubs, but I know he isnt playing for the love. Not sure if the Thunder even spoke to him, I told him to come out a few times!
Boys down at the thunder dome are coming along alright, few mates come out so yeah
as for me and my brother, I had a knee recon 3 weeks ago so wont be playing in 2010 and my bro went down in the first trial with a knee, believe it isnt as serious as mine, he see's the surgeon this friday, B's def gonna do better with the increased depth of new blokes out at the club, our best chance was still 2008 when we lost to you by 1pt!!
You coaching again?? how you guys looking??
get on board the thunder train!!!
