Looks like he'll be suiting up the bottle green & white shortly. :D

Sorry for sounding silly luv but how does that work, Haven would have to clear him somewhere but why only Seaton?

Can't be cleared to 2 different clubs from where he was originally signed ( Seaton )in the one year.
If that makes sense!

Fair chance the wet weather could cause some upsets??? Always levels the playing fields. Could be an interesting ladder on Monday.

NO MERCY's REPLY
Seaton would still towel up Modbury today & Modbury would be sitting in between Rostrevor & Broadview in A1s, thats being generous.
Seaton wern't good enough on the day last year & it had nothing to do with respect for our coach, if their was no respect for our coach, how did we get to the grand final in the first place? You blokes down Modbury had a better side than Seaton but CHOKED finals time, thats what i was refering to in a previous post earlier, you talk about respect for coaches, yours wasn't shown much at the end of the day from your own people.

Just saw that seaton lost to the hapless broadview today
Broadview 12.10 82 v Seaton Ramblers 9.11 65
only %age is currently saving you from a return to diviion 2 football no mercy

on another note modbury had another win today is the gap that big no mercy?

Ah well as No-Mercy would say, at least they're in Div 1. You have to concede as soon as they can get Hodges back in the saddle the better they'll be off. Throw in his side kick Luke and Seaton will take on all before them.

Seaton lost 2day & they were pathetic yes i take it on the chin, they should never had lost to them as Broadview are ????( sh!t )
I can say Div1 is a different kettle of fish than the little league Div2, no matter how well Modbury are doing in Div2 they may think they are up to Div1 standard but they are far from it but you wouldn't know because your not up there.
Maybe next year if you keep going the way you are you may get a taste of Div1 football & then find out what its like at the top, until then its best to keep hush hush until you get there as you'll quickly be back in Div2 before you know it.

if broadview are (SHIT) then you blokes can not be far off no mercy??? probably in fact behind then!!!, maybe you should prehaps stick to looking after your own game.

all i was asking is div one that big of a jump??? in yours books obviously it is? (fair play you are struggling) , prehaps preparing for next season already yes, but hey some has to take your spot in the top echelon.

What value his sidekick Luke? Absolutely nothing! About as knowledgable at footy as he is at cricket, a renowned failure.

The two umpires in charge yesterday of the Broadview v Seaton game were nothing short of disgraceful, one of them is involved with the Broadview f/c & didn't he show it!, I hope someone video'd the game & presents it to the SAAFL as it displays how footballs not to be umpired.
For those that wern't there don't get on your high horse & think i'm winging, as embarrassing as it was we lost to Broadview, it was just as embarrassing having these two "so-called" umpires acredited to our League.
If the League want to improve the standard of our game, start teaching these clowns the rules & interpretations of it. SHAME  SHAME!

Ne need to be embarrassed No-Mercy, the result only reaffirms most people's predictions that Seaton would be in this position. Are you suggesting the umpiring had anything to do with the result.

Mate thats fair enough, but the only thing that you can do is go to the SAAFL unpires coach about it. And in my opinion its time Barry that your head came out of the sand and you and the SAAFL must address the umpiring issue.

Dont worry No Mercy. Read the GSFL thread and you will realise that umpiring standards are at an all time low. Your not the only team that had the rough end of the stick this weekend. Our umpires topped the day off by both wearing white zinc on their noses in 11 degrees and rain!!!
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!

At div 1 level the umpires are supplied by the league, not pulled out of the bar, so if this bloke was still fully involved at Broadies, wouldn't that be Barrys mistake?

**edit** well done on your first win Broadies! :D

This umpire should NEVER be appointed to any Broadview games. he has a very long association with them and to save his reputation it would be wise to keep him away fron those games. In my opinion also, he is not up to Div 1 standard and hasn't been for a long time. (ps I have no allegiance to Seaton or Broadview)
Barry Oates can avoid all of this by not appointing him  ](*,)

As a matter of fact Rotter i do & those umpires yesty walked away knowing they had an influence on the result.
I thought captains only were allowed to approach the umpires to get an explanation on the standard or question any decisions, no not so, when Sean Coard approached S. Obst, he was told to shut up & piss off, great communication from the maggots.

Im pretty sure captains can ask unpires for consistancey from the unpires. Also they are able to ask about certain decisions. The umpires are susposed to talk to the captains.

I'll add something to that. As long as the captain is talking in a calm way to the umpire, the umpire will respond with respect to the questions of the captian. Barry Oats should reconise that last sentance, pretty sure they were his words.

Player: "Umpire, where abouts is the mark?" from player standing the mark

Umpire: "Its around there.."

Player: "Can you point to it please?"

Umpire: "Thats a smart arse comment, come back 25!" then pays 25m penalty

Just one of the great comments from the Jaffas @ broadview oval yesterday
I hope u are standing right in the middle of the track when the KARMA train comes.................and it is coming, its time!

went to disticts and gepps game [close to home].got there into 3rd qtr seems to me the umps were trying to get port back into the game. is this a constant across the league? i hope not because the standard of footy [apart from yesterday's weather] has been the best i've seen at this level. the SAAFL should not let the standard of umpires hold back their good product.
