Judging by the emails pinging around today, it doesn't look like Hectorville are getting much support for them to stay in Div 4..

When both SPOC and North Haven are against you fair to say there's a broad coalition in favour of option one!

They actually raise some very valid points in their letter, but with the option of an 11 team Div 4 and 3 teams relegated after 2016, I certainly can't see any Div 4 clubs voting for option 2..

Potential for all this to be thrown up in the air in light of the SANFL's split-up of the SFL, there may be more clubs looking for a home...

My (entirely personal) view is with North Haven. Yeah it sucks for Hectorville and Lutheran, but at the end of the day if it is such a grave injustice and you should be playing higher then the League has just handed you a flag next year.

It's about what's best for everyone which is option 1.

Bit dirty on Edwardstown for not getting their shit together earlier and avoiding this mess though

What are your thoughts on that LGIL a split on Saturday/Sunday juniors lines?

The synic in me thinks they probably knew earlier but didn't want to spend the year being bagged by their SFL counterparts.

So they come back in the same way they left. Causing complete havoc

It does seem like an injustice that they get back in at that level but you have to be pragmatic and accept that Edwardstown entering at the lowest level isn't good for the league or for them.

If rumours are true and more follow then perhaps a structured plan for absorption of these clubs needs to be created but we can only deal with what's on offer right now and that is one club which would restore an imbalance at Div 3 whilst avoiding a situation where they would dominate lower grades for a couple of seasons.

what Boosh said

I'll tell you what though, what I do know is if Edwardstown stuff the league around again over this, their file will be stamped “never to play in the SAAFL again”

Not sure yet, pulling the Saturday juniors away from the seniors is going to be unpalatable for at least 7 clubs.

I thought the split for the SANFL Juniors is only for the Sunday comps, NOT Saturday

A bit of talk around that Edwardstown have been accepted back into Division 2 (where they left from).

I heard they will be in Div 4 unless one of Kilburn and Salisbury don't want to go up to Div 3, then Townies will take the vacant spot in Div 3.
