matty is the kind of person we would love at the club
his knowledge and skills are fantastic but more important his leadership skills and the person he is make him a wanted commodity at any club
we have had alot of players from different clubs come down and have a run and its been great for a team who have alot of players that have never played before.
i would love to have dutchy and phantom stay around because they were able to help so much with what they know and what they have done that i believe both have very successful coaching careers ahead.
as for players coming to the cats you will just have to keep an eye on the clearances because i see to many players thru the threads going to a club and then ending up somewhere else
we will not be used by any players to get a better deal somewhere else

Hey dee man are guys like jurina, dunn, vandy, page still around the club also had a real hard nut called ryan(ryno)used to go real well?

Out training with us and looking as good as I have seen him.

I think Schnider knicking the A grade ruck spot might have stung a little .... ;)

well boys, where off to a great start.we have been promoted twice before the season has started.might quit now while the record is so good.we are off to c2 and personally am looking forward to it.the hard work that we have been doing now has to go up a couple of notches because we know what our aims for the year were and now that they are a little bit harder we have to put in extra.big week on the track to get us ready for the trial

do our players have any balls or guts.the players need to take a good hard look at themselves.another softcock effort like last night and the last couple of weeks and this club is finished.we have two weeks before the first trial and their is no way we can be taken serious when the effort and committment is as disgraceful as ive ever seen.i refuse to be part of the death of this once great club.think about it and show some guts and pride in your club and what it also says about you

because we are in a c grade comp the players treat it as such, show their face a couple of times and then say see you for the first game
had some very talented boys come out but the reason they come out here is because they believe they dont have to put in because they are guaranteed a game
thats why the club was f#%$&* in the first place and the reason why the good clubs wont put up with their s^%#
well think again boys
i wont put up with that s%$^& and will walk away before they drag the club down further
we have the chance to do what some other clubs unfortunately havent and that is survive and prosper
the club owes these guys nothing yet they only want
well grow some nuts and show people what you are really about and find that self respect ,pride and strenght that is needed in yourself to survive and prosper as a club,as a player and as people in society

You're not coaching AFL mate. It's 'C' grade football.

Hmm deeman i can understand your frustrating, but you need to realise and remember you basically have started from scratch.
No player base, no sponsors, nothing to build on etc.
Throw into the mix work/family/other sport commitments, im not really sure what numbers you are expecting?

Few years back i worked hard to get my rugby league side but up from extinction, the 1st two seasons we were lucky to get more than 10 to training, but we had goals and targets etc, we kept working at it and we built it. Now we get around 25 to trainings.

I guess what im saying is don't set the bar so high, and be willing to accept some flat periods etc and stick with it because it doesnt just happen over night.
