interesting results again
uni making a huge running at the moment and have quite a few teams looking over their shoulders
going to be a very interesting run home for all teams with seven of the nine clubs still in the running for finals at this stage
except for PAOC and ROSTREVOR,no mposition in the five is settled
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Hear that port districts wont field a team again this season
hope the rumor is wrong especially because of the reasons

what reasons did you hear?
don't know why/how a club with such a strong junior programme can struggle for numbers like districts do

maybe the fact that there are 3 or 4 other clubs in exactly the same area with less of a jnr program that take said players once they become snr's?! ;)

well yea a fair call, but Henley, SMOSH, and Flinders Park are comparable, with strong juniors, and clubs in close proximity, however they manage to easily field 4 teams

it was great to see them win on the we after a hard year
a few of the lads work for me and with the huge injury list they told me that was it for the year

i believe upto 17 players returned this week through out the grades which filtered players down thru the grades
hope it stays the same for restr of year cause they are a great bunch of blokes

Yeah the 18's are in the run to the finals and they don't won't to risk them playing 2 games on the weekend.

Seniors shouldn't depend/rely on U18's in order to fill 3 teams. It should be an easy task for PDFC.
Quite a few U18's have been playing for Districts this year, a few even playing A grade

It doesn't help when you have 15 or so senior players out injured. I can count at least 10 regular b/c graders out for the season.

a couple of things out of saturdays game with PAOC
yes,we were beaten on the score board easily in the end but the spirit and the fight was never broken even when down to 14 fit players
a big thank you to PAOC for helping us where possible with umpires trainers ect it was very much appreciated
to the lads from rostrevor who came down and watched, thanks for the encouragement and help where it was possible
by their actions through out the year you can see why they are such a stable and successful club, one we will try to look at for our blue print
very humble and very honest guys, all the best
and lastly to big jim, thanks for the chat after the game mate, not a time for me to be good spirits but thoroughly enjoyed it

ROCS wont win the premiership. It will be one of the college teams but not ROCS IMO. No offense to the boys as we played them on the weekend and they were a good bunch of blokes and footballers but id suggest PAOC would be my tip. Johnno Waltham is the standout forward in the comp and with their A,s missing the finals their C grade will be as full strength as you could imagine. PAOC to beat ROCS by 12 points in the GF. Well thats my pre finals tip 8)
Probably should say that i reckon C2 was a good comp this year free of poor club representatives. I dont know anyone from my club that didnt enjoy the competition even if we didnt win f,all this year. It was good footy every time we played even if we were not the best team on the day.
I dont know the fixturing but i hope for the guys that made finals sake that you dont get any of the rediculous 10am timeslot that has been associated with C2 in previous years :?

Any tips for the medal???.

Im going to go ROCs in what I think will be a closely contested GF against PAC. I think they are the 2 best teams although finals is a completely different game. I too have enjoyed all the teams that I have played against this year and have felt it has been extremely enjoyable to put the boots back on after hanging them up and play a grade of footy that I didnt know alot about. Im going to be a little biased and say Jason Scott for the medal. But there are some very footballers running around so who knows.

I think it's hard to go past PAOC for the flag, and yes Johnny Waltham is a machine full forward!!

Medal chances is a tough one, whilst Jason Scott has been outstanding in games, not sure he has done enough, also think a few games where he has been good, someone else has just been that touch better.

I thought Tim Sanders from PAOC was very good when we played them, so was Josh Morrell.

Anyone from Old Iggies or Adelaide Uni able to tell us when the 'Soccer Brawl' on the next oval broke out whilst you boys were playing your final. I think most of the Salisbury and Mawson Lakes folk that were there for the first match, left at quater time and missed seeing the chaos!

broke out after final had finished
most ridiculous thing i've seen - and not racially based - just a bunch of blokes getting way too carried away - started with a slap and went from there.
third all in i've seen on the soccer ground there.
