Para Hills will be a completely different side with close to 20 players coming accross

If its anything like 2010s expectations we'll be waiting a while!

Guess it'll be the same as last year then hey, we weren't the one's trouting off! Same old rubbish i think..
Pencil in Portland to win it?? Everyone picked us last year & look how we went??
With the import rule it's going to be hard for everyone.. So we'll have to wait & see.. And hope for the best :)

boys at the pub at lunchtime, thought an odd choice of ass coach at smosh/w lakes next year with the u18 guy/coach getting the gig as minnervinni's right hand man. not a lot of good choice at smosh at all, but fraser or tomeo would have to feel stiffed not getting the job and both good. a few unhappy campers by the sounds with the appointment. would have thought fraser or tomeo would be the ones to take over next year as smosh will struggle to make the finals with lack of players and poor decisions like this

I thought Tomeo was Assistant in 2010?
Any reason given for why he was replaced by this youngster?
Did Minnervini feel some pressure that someone was about to replace him?

sounds like not in 2011. the u18 coach from this year is the right hand man so they said in the pub. without much coaching talent at smosh they reckon new blood had to come in. not well received by the boys. fraser and tomeo should have been first up by the sounds of the lads today in pub but they know not much talent in the coaching ranks as well so in comes the guy from left field. not many happy and heap of discussion not all good tho for smosh supporters

Para Hills are amazing...boys when you stop setting yourselves up by talking so much maybe you will just be able to walk the talk instead of being paper champions and September sleepers....wise up and make the footy talk.

aaahhhh...just back from a holiday after footy season
Was down in adelaide this weekend for a pissup last night.
Sounds like Portland have been very busy and will go into 2011 as hot favorites
CBC arent happy about the points system. It will have an affect on their player gold mine up in Port Agutta
Trouble at West Lakes & Seaton? Maybe St Michaels OS should suggest another merger ;) More merger and acquisition veterans there than Wall Street
Noone could answer me on this one - is Westy coaching Mitcham next year?

Lets not get too carried away in November 2010 about any side and their fortunes for next year. Sure Portland and and Flinders Park look OK at the moment, but a long way till September of 2011, with injuries etc, etc, having a big say before the season even starts. For any of the guys from any of those Clubs "who may be giving others some early ammunition" remember its a long time till Grand Final Day. Generally it is others from other Clubs firing the ammunition however and making other Clubs favourites for the Flag

I am pretty surprised that so many people have stated that Portland is the flag favourite. Moody and Wiles were arguably their best players in 2010, and as a result Portland's strength was their midfield.
I have not heard whether or not Lipson will play in 2011, and even if he does it is unknown where he would be coming back with two dodgey knees. It would be reaosnable to say that they would struggle again up forward with no big targets.
Prior is not yet signed, and is no certainty to do so. Portland's defence was not amazing, and question whether it is good enough to win a premiership.
I am not saying they are no chance, or not good enough; but question where people's predictions are coming from.

You sound like you might actually have an idea curlyhead.

All the boys around the club know nothing is won over pre season.
We hit the track this week for what should be a tough hard pre season from all reports.
Hopefully we will get some of the names that have been spoken, but until pen is put to paper then who knows?
Like last season, this will be a very even and tough season that any side could beat another on any given day!!

i think everyone is forgetting about mitcham. they were a bloody good side last year (were beaten by us by 1 point to be knocked out of the finals) and havent heard of any players shooting through and im sure would have picked up a couple, could be flying under the radar.

good change up piccachu and well played. when your side is the early premiership favourite deflect the attention from portland and put it on mitcham. good work. sure you can mention some other clubs as well to draw attention away from portland
