[quote="DemonGirl And about the really dirty players there is a fair few that everyone knows of...[/quote]

I don't know about them. The only dirty one I would be able to recognise is this bald idiot with a bit of hair that looks like a growth coming out the back of his head.

That is exactly what I was saying, college teams have a game plan which generrally is different to some suburban sides.

Every side takes cheap shots from time to time, no club could deny this. I agree with Orts and think the make up of the division will make this more prevelant. I've always thought of SMOSH as West Lakes, but I didn't say all college teams adopted a less physical game plan, just most of them.

y adopt a physical game plan if u dont need one to win games, being too physical can be a teams undoing as it leads to cheap goals, 50 metre penalities and reports. but can be effective if physicaliity is used in the right way

"College sides rely on linking up with the handball and playing running possession footy. When they do this they are hard to stop. However, most college sides tend to fall apart a bit under physical pressure and are vulnerable at contests. Every time I have played a college side whether we won or not depended on the pressure we put on them and whether we allowed them to link up."

only college teams..wtf..what you are talking about is what most teams try to do..so kilburn dont like to link up with handball??..kilburn dont like to run either???..you are generalising again andy..and you are backtracking..what do you call goodwood saints?.."rough" as u say or "college team" as u describe?..they play running football that links with handball..hell..all teams do andy LOL..try again..20 years ago i played for oldscotch v kilburn when the mullmen were rampant on the hill..there was fierce respect from both teams..and no "nancy" stuff as u like to call it..just 18 v 18..dont matter where u live..are u a sociopath or something?? We didn't link up enough and that has been a problem over the past few years. Yes most teams do try to link up but with a lot of college teams they can't do much else. If the game has too many contests they fall apart. Seaton and Pt Districts were the best two teams in div 2 last year because they were both good at winning contests and good at linking up.

I never said only college sides link up. I just said that while college sides do link up well, they fall apart in other aspects of the game. This is probably why most don't get past div 2.

Scotch have fired up a couple of times, I said this before, but I got the impression they set themselves to do this for an individual game.

What have you heard MH? It's easy to judge a club on one bad year but this doesn't show much intelligence. Last year was an abberration. There were a couple of players last year who were a bit quick to throw a punch but it was only one or two. These guys have moved on for other reasons.

i never said i was an intelligent person but on the other hand wen u look in the paper and see that not only the A's lose by 30 goals but also the B's ur going to gte judge quite badly and maybe one of the reasons kilburn get judged is because the club was quite successful then all of a sudden have fallen to divs in 4 years. but i dont know im not one to judge on a club i dont know too much about

Thats good to hear cos the last thing we need is more idiots throwing punches for no reason. I think there is enough of that going around allready.

Someone on the APFL thread said Broady had resigned. Crap news for them, he came runner up in the medal and coached them to a GF.

I saw it. Was a decent article. Did you guys have to write it yourselves and send it to them? I couldn't imagine the Messenger taking an interest in any club out this way except Salisbury North, especially over summer?
