The new sporting pulse is brilliant and the convienience is terrific
An hour after the game all or most results are available from anywhere in the world
But in recent observations I seeing that this convenience could be hurting each and every football club because numbers are dwindling at presentations
The convienience allows alayer to see who got best player before the coach announces it at preso's and the anticipation is lost. Players can view if theyre up for an award at home and decide not to go if no award for them
This as a result hurts the club as revenue is lost with up to 20 players not showing up
Dunno if its possible but imo itd be more financially beneficial for every club if results were not revealed until about 7:30...

You are kidding I hope. Would not be many coaches who pick best players by 5.30pm. Most coaches are harassed by the team manager for scores and best players etc, etc and the coach says "you put in your best players and we will sort ours out later" - the best players read out in the club that night, are the real ones and the ones on the website or Sunday Mail in more cases than not, would not even closely reflect the thoughts of the coaches. 80% of coaches rightly or wrongly also do not put their best players in the Sunday Mail, for obvious reasons. Economic times, triple headers, family life and a whole lot of other reasons, but IMO way of the mark with that thought. Anyway the Sunday Mail demand that 5.30pm time for printing.

Trust me - I had a long day down at Pt Districts on Saturday but still made it back for our presentations

I'm with Yardy Lard on this one that you should tell the players that they may not be the same. A lot of coaches pick them later, or when they get back to the club
Also, some clubs award drink cards for that night only. Gives you the $hits when you find out you've missed out on a $50 drink voucher

In this id hope hes so determined to achieve this, that after the game he's so excited to know, he refuses to wait and checks on SP. Having the sporting pulse satisfies his anxiousness to know, and the question of did I, did I, is revealed. When I was a player last year I followed this convienience.
Now I dunno how many of u are old fuddy duddys and who are a little bit behind the times but most people hav smart phones these days. In the time it takes for u to read this a player can pull his ipod out, go to his sporting pulse bookmark and immediately see if his name ranks as a best player on this day. He can do this sitting at the traffic lights waiting in his car. NO COMPUTER NEEDED
So the guy gets home from footy, lays on his couch at about 5:30 checks his phone, sees that nah he didnt make best players, so **** it... I cant be bothered going to presos - and lays on the couch for next 3 hours watchin footy
So now because sporting pulse has already filled in the winner of the great mysterious prize, presentations are just secondary announcement of the news which us young ones already found out an hour ago.
And here comes the most relevent consequence... With a lack of numbers ur club is unable to maximise its intake, and the expected turnover that keeps your football club alive is dented

Marbles. You just were told what coaches do and the reasons. No player is going to look at a website or smart phone to see if they make the best players. 99.9% of players of course are trying to make the best players because that means their team wins. Players and coaches and everyone who plays ONLY plays to win. Don't know any players who actually worry about making the best players over and above winning. You have serious problems for thinking like that actually. Can not think of a single player who would worry about making the best player list and seeing their names on a website over winning.

then see if ur club starts to experience bigger crowds, is the 2 hours delay worth the extra revenue for ur football club?
