Very poor form that. Well done PFC, deserved the cup.

well, at least your coach tried- I wouldn't get too hung up on it though, he (Hectorville coach) may feel silly about it all now.
In victory, you can make some allowances ;)

I get the silliness of the Heccies coach.

But surely the moments (0-60 mins) after a losing grandfinal you are afforded 1 wildcard to 'throw the toys out of the cot', i would say yes.

You would like everyone to do the right thing and 99% of people do but its an emotional time, when your emotional you do irrational things and as long as you don't hurt anyone, break the rules or do anything absolutely rediculous then I'd be letting it through to the keeper so to speak.

I'm sure he would be a bit sheepish about it now, so lets not make an issue of it.

You throw the toys out in private. There are things that need to be done.
As a coach, you lead your men to the finish. Sportsmanship to a better foe after a GF is part of the finish.
A winning coach who ignored the losing coach would've been labelled a bad sportsman too.

Yeah ur right, but as a mataphor you could say it would be like being shit-faced drunk and doing something absolutely dumb ass.
Wake up the next day knowing full well that what I did was stupid, but at the time there was nothing I could do about it due to the state I was in.
That doesn't excuse me from what I did, coz at the end of the day I did it, but without those mitigating circumstances there is no way I would have done it.

You could easily create am argument that the emotion of the time, it can overpower you also and everyone is different... Clearly there maybe some that don't handle it well!

Look at it from another point of view, when the siren goes and your a GF winner you jump around like a galah, do cartwheels, and all sorts of other things.
I'm pretty sure you wouldnt see those same people walking down the street to the shop to grab some milk like that any other day of the year (apart from maybe Sun, Mon, Tue after the GF!)
Its the emotion that overpowers you.

All I'm saying is that I can understand that it happened, and I don't think he should be crucified because of it.
A smart thing to do would be for him to maybe give the Club a call and offer his congratulations during the week?
