interesting to note that Kenilworth were the only A grade side from Div2 to div7 that won the 2nd semi final and went on to win the premiership

is it better to keep playing finals footy than to have 2 rests in 3 weeks as some of the sides did. wonder what history shows over the last decade????

IIRC, history shpws that the rest has benefited the majority of teams. Bit of an anomoly this year.

I think it was a couple of years ago several top sides throughout South Australia were knocked out of the finals in straight sets so its swings and roundabouts.

Also just for this season is the most incidents throughout the state of 19 players on the field that I can remember in my life time

Personally I think 2 games of footy in a month is not an ideal prep to win a gf.
We are a drinking team with a football problem!

Last years grounds were very heavy come September and if you played 2 out of the 4 rounds to me you had an enourmous advantage. This year we had fast tracks all round....less taxing.
My philosophy with the break is the longer the game is in the balance then the more the team with the break has the advantage. The second either team gets even a small early advantage then you're always in trouble
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
