Would be a better option than Brahma Lodge. Surely they're not going to play a final out there. Must be a joke?

So long as the sale of alcohol is available being that its located on school grounds and the ground is in fact available I would say that it is a better option then most grounds.

Wouldnt think school would let them. Heard its hard enough for them to get access to it let alone for 2 other clubs.

I agree. I dont think that SHOC oval is an option. I think there would be more chance with the ovals that usually hold finals otherwise its going to be a case of just making the best of what ever teams get to play on. If a club puts there hand up and there is no better option they will just have to make do.

I disagree, if a Club puts its hand up and the surface, facilities, ammenities, etc are not up to what would be an acceptable standard then the SAAFL and the competing clubs should not just make do. The SAAFL should find the best possible grounds to play on and if that means the SAAFL asking the Clubs to host instead of the other way around then so be it!

If only we had a fence the atmosphere at Broadies is awesome when full.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Im pretty sure that I said nothing of playing on substandard ovals. I should have been a little clearer though I agree. By make do I mean playing on grounds that may not be fenced ie Broadview, Glenunga etc. I agree that surface, facilities, ammenities should be up to scratch.

Agree, Broadies oval is a great ground to watch a game and the same for Goodies oval.

There should be no cars on the eastern side so that would give more room for spectators. I would suggest sitting on the southern side would be no different to sitting behind the goals at any other club?

You rarely see spectators behind the goals at suburban venues, no offence but parking is an absolute prick at your ground when there's a semi decent crowd, and that's with the spots along the wing to use, your carpark holds about 15 cars, the roads are narrow, generally if you're not there by the time the B's start you are parking a couple of streets away.
I'm sure the surrounding neighbours will be rapt along with the patrons walking 15 minutes to get to their cars with their passengers stopping for a p!ss break along the way.
By all means, good luck in gaining approval, I do think it would be a logistical nightmare for you though.

I agree with most of what you have put up LM. Have been to a few games there in my time and there is never any parks just for a normal game let alone a grand final. I have been told they are a shoe in for a grand final.

Ha ha only just saw this thread
We wont be relying on you for the goss
Theres only one shoe around here
