I'm not disputing your comments, but I know of many people who've had to give it away because of work commitments. And then there are those that could play Saturday's but are self employed. And then there are those that want to pursue the multitude of options available that my father didn't have in his day.

the competition thru the divisions is excellent,to the point that in most grades the final make ups wont be known to the last game.
do i have an agenda,no
am i the mouth piece for someone else ,no
no,im just someone who loves, like all of you the game
if,as is being suggested that im totally wrong, lucky it was only my opion
but if everybody thinks administrators are doing such a great job,why are over 50% of the threads throughout the divisions complaints about head office
as for running for office at one of the clubs or at head office,i would not wish this on any club
as i said, just my opion, like its only you guys opion

the promotion [and greater support] of the game must come from the clubs [who in the end have the greater say in the running of the league, if they have the guts to voice it #] this comes by having a strong involvement in the community and [ hopefully ] a strong junior program.
the one thing that i admire about country footy is that it is a day out for the whole family [footy and netball ] and i still cannot work out why footy clubs in town do not try to get netball involved within their structures
as others have stated there are many reasons for some people not playing [ or continuing to play ] footy but as i see it the numbers are still healthy. can't remember the number of clubs in saafl but it's a few and each has it's own interests at heart [as they should ] .the league has to look after the interests of the competition and sometimes that means some toes will be stepped on and sometimes they will get it wrong, but as i see it it mostly is heading in the right direction
#the clubs are the "dog", the admin the "tail" . it's up to the "dog" to decide who is wagging who.
end of rant
