To me a league like this is what country footy is about and it's good that at least they have been able to keep it going.
Know the guy who runs the pub up at Penong a bit and I think he was planning on pulling on the boots for the Tigers this year but I'm not sure if he ended up playing or not.

i agree ODB, some real country footy.
a few questions on the league
what is the averange distance the clubs have to travel each week? & is there many imports that come and play?

Well imports don't happen and I doubt any players get paid either.

Distance to travel isn't that big really, Koonibba & Thevenard are based in town and Blues are a combination of Ceduna and Smoky Bay, Western United are based in Penong. The furthest is Penong which is 70Km and Smoky Bay is 50KM.

Is Koonibba based in Ceduna now? When i lived in Ceduna in the early 80's they were out Yalata direction, about 30 or 40 k's away (from Ceduna).

Koonibba are based in Ceduna, more towards Thevenard actually at the Far West Aborginal Sporting Complex, built in the early 90's I think.

Didn't Ceduna's netball club merge with Smoky Bay like the footy club did?
