ok! a lot visit but no comment?Kevin sheedy. longevity in coaching is as rare as rocking horse shit,his passion for the game and great wisdom and humour is unserpast. PS, KS and i still converse on a regular basis and still learning things from him.

choco was assistant coach to k sheedy,at leased he a the sense to be taught by the master and we shall see what chocos`s doing in 20 years?

Sheedy has been around for a long time. You have to take your hat off to him. Hes beeen through a few rebuilding stages and seems to have a few tricks left yet. Dont think a coach will last that long again.

Leigh Matthews isnt bad either mind you.

John Cahill done well (SANFL)

mark williams coached the bays to a gf i think.
jack cahill has an outstanding record
sheedy coached vfl and afl. is his vfl record different to his afl record? that depends on opinion
i suppose all of the above coaches can smile. micky mouse'neil craig' cant though. :lol:

ks,jc are coaches that have the ability to treat players as individuals but at the same time mould them into very tight competitive teams. k sheedy,j cahil, lee Mathews were extremely talented and extremely hard footballers which is rare in todays game.

Somebody correct me here as its more a question than an answer but what about Malcolm Blight - less games coaching but big returns?

Blight would have to be up there for sure, and as you said not many games for good returns. Was very unlucky at Geelong in 2 GF losses and obviously taking the cookies back to back with Adelaide. Its a shame the Saints shit all over him.
