Super Rules

Postby Dogwatcher » Mon Apr 16, 2007 3:42 pm

I get these write-ups each week.

Figured there might be a few other Super Rules people out there, so I thought I'd pass them on.

Gawler gave the Riverland Superdogs a lesson of precision football with a
74 point thumping at Elizabeth on Sunday. The Dogs ball use was appalling
and a torrid week on the track looms to rectify their kicking woes. Peter
Hoffman, Mark Schwartzkoff and Andy Caire stood out. Gaols, Rick Frahn 1,
Andy Caire 1. Final Score Gawler 14-6 Superdogs 2-4

Portland traveled to a waterlogged Berri oval and trounced the Superdogs by 38 points. Superior skills lead by Wayne the WEED Weiderman overwhelmed the struggling dogs. Andrew Caire continued his great season with a standout ball-getting performance whilst the returning duo Peter French at fullback and utility Rob Sully shone.
Final Score Portland 8 - 11 (59) to Superdogs 3-3 (21)
Best Caire, French, Sully.

The Riverland Superdogs ventured to Lobethal to take on Easts yesterday and were trounced by 61 points. Unfortunately the visitors had their third loss on the trot after a poor and slack first half of the first quarter. Easts height was a huge factor with only Nick Kossatch and Paul Hall and recruit David Nielsen, from Scotland, over 6 foot. The Dogs battled with ball magnet Andrew Caire, wingman Mark Scwartkopff and Nick Kossatch battling hard for the visitors. Others to shine were the much improved Lance Gum in the forward lines and Scottish recruit David Nielsen. Caire and Shane Healy booted 3 goals apiece whilst club legend Jim Potts kicked one.
SCORE: Easts: 16-9 (105) d Superdogs 7-2 (44)

Rooster - you haven't seen Lance play mate!
A struggler.

He also wrote the report himself, so who knows?

A former Salisbury North boy too. Perhaps that might explain it... ;)
