Ovens and Murray League club Wodonga won't match the big money being thrown the way of its star forward and former Brisbane Lion Darren Bradshaw, according to new coach Jarrod Twitt.

The O and M website reports Bradshaw is yet to agree to new terms with the Bulldogs and is believed to have attracted big offers from other clubs in the region.

"If he wants more money to stay than we are not really in the financial position to give him more," Twitt said.

"You hear some of the numbers bandied about and we just can't match them."

Murray league club Cobram is believed to be among the clubs bidding for the former Brisbane Lion while Goulburn Valley club Tatura and his former AFL Queensland club Mt Gravatt are also believed to have expressed interest in his services.

This story is somewhat ironic given that if Sturt had matched the offer that Jarrod Twitt got to leave the club, it would have made him one of the highest paid players in the SANFL.

If that was the case, Sturt should adopt his surname.

You must have misunderstood what I said Dogmatic.
The point was that while he was a handy player, he got such a big package from an O&M club that it would have been ridiculous for us to try and match it.

I knew exactly what you said and if Sturt had paid it they would have been twits.
Didn't he contribute in a big way to Sturt losing a gf?

He did kick 1.5 in the '98 Grand Final but to be honest we weren't good enough on the day.
