I see both S/C & J/C are 1 division.
Kangarilla taking Echungas spot in the SC
Birdwood the only stand alone country division club to have a JC side
All div 1 sides except Echunga playing in the div 1 MC comp
In the country div MC comp, only Kangarilla, Birdwood & Torrens Valley have sides with the rest of the competition made up of Echunga, 2nd Hahndorf, 2nd Onkas, 2nd & 3rd Mt Barker.
Junior footy in the Hills not looking to good.

Perhaps the clubs need to spend some money and buy in colts players
If you think about it how many clubs would be playing Senior football if they did'nt buy in players
I would suggest that most Div 1 and Div 2 clubs would disappear if they tried to do it with just locals
So maybe clubs should pay a bit less for senior players and divert some funds in to the junior sides or sit back and watch colts footy fold

I think paying junior players is against the rules. Nothing stopping clubs from having permit players from SAAFL (they play on Sunday's)
Echunga are trying everything they can to get numbers. They have an incentive program where if you bring a mate to play, subs are half price for both players. Also they're running a free bus service from Mt Barker for kids that can't get to training.

I think Hahndorf will be able to cover the losses of those 2

Maybe they cant after getting a fair touch up via Goodwood Saints on the weekend by all accounts.... would expect them to be right for Round 1

Both quality players but they won a flag in 2019 without them and they are favourites to win one in 2021 without them. Also Saturday they were level with goodies till they rested key players after half time. Wish they didn't do that as it was quality game.

Watched the live stream of saturdays game from Hahndorf and agree it was really entertaining for the first half, quite an even contest. Always hard to judge how a team will fair from a trial game. I dont recall seeing Barnes and Matsen playing for Hahndorf but I dont know who Goodwood were missing either. I was surprised with the camera panning around how many were at the game which shows the level of interest there is in both clubs. Would expect Hahndorf and Lobey would be again at the top somewhere but then who makes up the rest? Only time will tell, just over a week to go!

Looking at their photos it Blackwood 8.15 (63) to Flagstaff Hill 11.9 (75) at the end of the match. Blackwood didn't have a several key players I think and from what I heard from people they will be around the mark again by all accounts if they can get their fast playing style going.

I heard Nairne missed a shot on the siren to beat a pretty strong Mount Compass side as well.

I think Onkas will be up there as well, throw a blanket over, Blackwood, Uraidla, Nairne, hard to gauge where Bridgewater will come in but I think they’ll be pushing up hill, Echunga have picked up a couple but coming from a long way back, haven’t heard anything about Lofty but big losses for them. Will be a very interesting year!

Going for an upset, Blackwood to def Hahndorf by 2 goal.
Lobethal by 10+ goals
Mt Barker by 8+ goals
Onkas by 2 goal
Nairne by 6 goals
