SA Footy

Was listening to SEN today on the net and Nathan Thompson was going on about Randall Bone and what a great bloke he was.
After his stint at the Hawks did he come back to SA and play any country footy. Pity he could never really put it together for a complete season. Looked like he could have torn games apart.

Played a year or two at Willunga before hanging the boots I think???

After Hawks came back and signed with South. Started playing there but was hit by a car and had to have surgery on his knee. After that was trying to get into the Star force and didn't want to risk stuffing his knee up anymore and ending that dream. In the end his knee was no good anyway and couldn't get in due to it not being strong enough. Don't think he played any games at Willunga after returning, not that I can remember.

Haven't seen him since he was involved in a stoush on the hill during the 93/94 Test against South Africa.

He played for Willunga in 2002 but struggled with injuries. He showed glimpses of the absolute domination he was capable of but whenever he started to get up and about he broke down again. I think he's doing something with police media now. I quite often see him on the news doing press conferences looking all serious.

Pretty sure that day was the catalyst for full strength beer being banned on the hill.

Not media, just working in CIB or something.
