Ross Gibbs I think had the record at one stage, kicked over 30 against Port Elliot in around 96/97. I'm not 100% sure but i think the record has since been broken. May have been in Hills Country over last few years against Callington possibly.

Personally i think anythin up to 15 is a phenonmenal effort ... Anything beyond that seriously who cares cause obviously it is against a team that is clearly not even capable of playing the game.

i think once you get to double figures you have had a a big day out.
i remember steve wildman kicking 18 goals one day against cleve and when it come to the mail medal votes he didnt get a best on from one of the umpires

40- Quinton Graham (Gumeracha) v Callington yesterday would have to be close to a record.

Playing senior colts for Bostons, I remember standing Wes Bilney, who has gone on to already snare 2 mail medals.
in his first year, he was full forward, and kicked 27 goals... Didn't get a vote either...

Also In Pt Lincoln, Barry Johncock Junior (Mallee Park) kicked 52 goals across A Grade and B Grade on the same day.
Not sure what his individuals were, but it's the sort of thing you just don't see anymore...

Re Pt Lincoln League, i heard that Shaun Burgoyne once kicked over 20 goals in a junior game 10 or so years ago. Back in the 90's Robert Jackamarra regularly kicked big bags of goals, I'm guessing he holds A grade records for goals kicked in a game/season in that league. This 40 goal haul from Q Graham, whilst a great effort is quite an indictment on the Hills Country league. This should be yet another wake up call that Callington is becoming a laughing stock and is not worthy of its place in an A Grade football comp.

by memory was in 2006 when Mallee A grade were on a mission to kick 40 goals in a game and the largest haul by one player (was common knowledge before the game), didn't happen but Johncock kicked 26.....not all but a lot of large hauls are irrelevant, a lot of goals were handballs from other players marks a few feet out and against the worst side in the League. Johncock probably earned a genuine dozen or so.
