Re: EP Football - PLFL, GFFL, MWFL, FWFL, EEFL
There's nothing left to talk about... Souths or Tasmans marching to an unexpected flag (unexpected at start of season) was a talking point, but now Mallee have taken an unbeatable lead (IMO).
I'd love to see Grub's odds...

Re: EP Football - PLFL, GFFL, MWFL, FWFL, EEFL
Seen as though this is an EP footy thread: From the GFFL it appears Cougars would have to be at this stage heading in as favourites for the flag. In my opinion, I would say Yeelana have seemed to have slipped a bit and I would say Ramblers would have to second favourite, with Tumby running into some form later in the season. Really I think any of Cougars, Ramblers or Tumby Bay could take it out this year but I'm not sold on Yeelana. Ramblers v Cougars GF at this stage. My tip: Ramblers in an upset Midwest seems to be a bit of a two horse race with Wirrula and West Coast Hawks looking the goods. BTW it was great to see a last quarter spree by the Magpies to knock off the old Central Eyre rivals on the weekend My tip: West Coast Hawks Eastern Eyre seems like a one horse race with Kimba set to take out the flag this year although the last time Kimba and Cowell (who are currently second) met there was less than a goal difference between the two so you never know! My tip: Kimba Farwest looks like a two horse race between Kooniba and the Blues with both teams beating each other this year, although Kooniba having a big win over the Blues last time they met. Should make for an interesting end to the season. My tip: Kooniba

Sound4 has a point... it is the EP Sport thread... Having said that, I can't talk about the other leagues, cos I don't know anything about them! So I'm just dropping by to say that I won't be dropping by...

Re: EP Football - PLFL, GFFL, MWFL, FWFL, EEFL
at a vote last night after training, it was decided that our footy trip this year would be to port lincoln. Any ideas people where would be a good place to stay, somewhere close to the pubs and reasonably priced? which places are the best to visit ?

daicos get ur head outta ur a**e. i honesty think the only thing that could stop cougars winning the premiership this year is themselves. that is if they get to far ahead of themselves. other then that i think they are just to quick, fit and skillful

Yes Far West two stand out sides are Koonibba & Blues, this weekend is the last minor round game and due to Koonibba playing a game at AAMI at the end of August the season will be over very quickly:
31/7 - Last minor round game 7/8 - 1st & 2nd Semi @ Penong Oval 14/8 - Prelim @ Thevenard Oval 21/8 - GF @ Ceduna Oval

Re: EP Football - PLFL, GFFL, MWFL, FWFL, EEFL
My apologies gents I have been away. Great meeting at the league with mandatory sentencing being introduced FYI we are utilizing the Mid West Model the vote being 5-1 One club delegate accused the President of being biased against his club seeing he was a BFC life member etc etc he was quickly bought into line. CU I still have that constitution rolled up ! A lot of work to be done over the next twelve months with new Cons and bylaws hopefully all better for footy.
