Saw only the last quarter after I bagged out at Farm, very slick and definitely back in contention. Souths and Tasmans having break through years but reckon one might be stiff now to not even make the GF. Mallee's will get there again unfortunately, IMHO

Nice pic in the paper too! SES beanie still coming in handy!!

I think Blueys calculations arevery interesting except by my slide rule and abacus Tasmans are in top spot
by percentage.
Should be a top game between Mallees and Tassies I wonder if Security will be in place?

We're at the pointy end of the season now...

What's everyone thinking about the Mail Medal (held at Tigerland I believe).

White from Souths would have to be up there, also MP from Rangers, and Magic from Tassies...

mid west footy league is quite close at present with western districts and central eyre fighting for 4th spot. premiers could come from any of the top 3 in wirrulla, west coast hawks and elliston. elliston are the unknown, they have the talent but their discipline and work ethic are questionable at times. while im here just wondering if any clubs in surrounding leagues have had any problems with interstate clearances? apparently there's a new rule been brought in nation wide as of february 2010 that prohibits players from tranferring interstate after june 30th. im sure previously there was a way around this. interested in peoples dealings with the issue.

Not about the clearance issue EP boy, but in the Mid West, I see Tommy Rumbelow still running around for Elliston, how's his season been and has he gotten any taller than Frodo Baggins yet?

on song, tom's season has been very consistent, seems to kick his 4-5 goals every week and he'd be high up on the league's goalkickers list. plays as almost a permanent forward, just so smart around goals, hard to match up on. also hear there's been some big last minute signings with tim walsh returning to cowell for the rest of the season after quitting port magpies. good news for cowell

apparently 40 odd big ones this year, third in mid west. Not bad at all for a small forward.

Interesting reading on the Southern Football League thread under topic 'Marion FC' that relates to a couple of new players to town.

Yes Wes and Kingsley have returned to Port Lincoln to play for Malle Park, and they can do this due to relocation home after June 30th.
To say disappointing would be an eighth of the feelings I have towards this debacle. But I will leave it at that.
The worst thing about this me, the club put so much work into getting them over here and for this to happen is throwing a bit bucket of poo in our faces.
The house they were living in still has 4 weeks rent (over $1000) owing which again is a bloody joke and a discgrace they up and go leaving all problems behind.
Anyway that is enough they have gone for the rest of the year & IF and when they do return to the club there will be some dam strict guidelines and well covered out clauses that is for sure.
Moving on as they are gone and I have said my bit - not good enough - disappointing - furious - disrespected - enough said!!

Is this a post bumped from a year or 2 ago???
Honestly, this is a continual issue that we have had to contend with every year...you almost expect it now.

Probably a sense of frustration to those clubs new to finals.

I know there's the 'moving home' rule, but couldn't this come under a breaking of a contract (if rent $$ was involved) and therefore be grounds for a club to deny a clearance? Or is this 'moving home' thing unconditional, even if you owe a club money?

My tip is the Bombers to take it out this year. Is Lynton Pym still topping the goal kicking? Recruiting him from the Blues could be seen now as a master stroke!
