Superleague, & how far from it are we?

With the gap between top & bottom sides in almost every league widening every year, how far away are we from resorting to a Division based superlegue, involving perhaps BL&G, RMFL, Hills Cent & Country, GSFL & SFL. With say 10 sides per division.

I understand travel would become an issue but b4 every1 get on here & says their bit, please first consider the likelyhood of every game u play for the entire year being very competitive no matter which grade(div). Imagine Callington & BSR actually being competitive, in their Div. (they may have to have a 2 team div) :lol: ;)

If we as a community (football) want it to survive long term & retain most if not all the clubs currently in existance, this MaY BE an option.

Netball is the ONLY reason this has not been done already according to my sources. Very good idea in theory, but 1 of the major draw cards of country footy is the community atmosphere, with the whole family having a day out playing sport in the 1 location. Netball is a must & can never be separated from footy in the country.

Once again a fantastic idea in theory but simply cant work

Dont know about superleague but a country champions league concept would be good for prizemoney;

Premiership winners from each of the leagues grouped in zones in the first round, winners of those groups go into the finals for $20000 winner takes all sponsored by the community football league.

Run over 2 weekends great footy that would be and the winners would have one hell of a footy trip or could be done before the following season.

Most of the Hills clubs havent had netball following them for at least 20 years, the Netball clubs are thriving and the footy clubs are mostly all surviving.
