It is probably a little early to be discussing off season signings/rumours within the various country leagues in the state, but with grand finals finished, there's likely to be a bit of talk about new recruits.

Feel free to post here, news of recruits and credible rumours.

Well the big one in Port Lincoln is that Marble Range captain and star player, Carl Semmler, is being lured by an offer from Tasman FC on a job and coaching package worth in the vicinity of $175-200,000 pa.
An approach last year by a member of the same club to employ him, and then at the last moment throw in a condition of playing for them, was met with the contempt it deserved and Carl remained at Marble Range to lead them into the grand final played last week.
This time however the carrot they are dangling is worth a s**t load of money and it would be very hard for him to pass that up. Your livelihood does come first and 200 big ones could make for a very lively livelihood
Will wait and see what Carl's reaction is as I know he enjoys the MR club very much.

Thats huge money, couldn't blame a player for moving clubs with that type of incentive.

That's ridiculous! What is footy coming to? Will kill off the clubs that can't throw money around

If his job entails a house to live in , Car and fuel, Boat usage and moorings,phone, laptop, medical benefits, flights and maybe a Plasma from Reynella etc he might be getting only $12,000 to coach and then player payments if he plays

if true, and Hilly can keep his current crop of youngsters together, mclaren could be the ones to top willunga off in a couple of years if nobody does it before 2012!

which O'neil?? im almost %100 this isnt the case as hes trying to get the Dalwood boys too come back and play there.

Mannum were allocated 14 points this year, but will only recieve 8 in 2010 for finishing 2nd if the Sate wide thing come into place.
