HFL C GRADE 2009

Just for anyone who wants to talk about the C Grade comp. First Question:

Can anyone stop Trent Shorland? The Hahndorf evergreen has had the ball on a string this year and is currently sitting atop the goal kicking tally. After their shock loss to Lofty on the weekend, in which he was absent, only one conclusion can be drawn. No Shorland, No Hahndorf C Grade. Surely will be targeted for some extra attention in the upcoming rounds if that is anything to go by.

If the opposition were smart, they would throw half a dozen choccy donuts around their goal ark.... Obviously this would stop him!!!

Just spoke to the pres and he only wishes he could pack Batpad or Josh Russell in his footy bag each week when he goes and plays C grade, he's sure he lift his weekly goal average to 10 per game.

How come the C grade scores are very rarely put in the Courier?

It's a good question. No idea, as it can't be due to the Sunday games because when they play on a Sunday in the other grades they always manage a mention.

Trent 'the game' Shorland once again kicked over half his sides score on Sunday, but they still went down. After defeating Blackwood earlier in the year it appears the wheels may have fallen off for the Magpies. Where has Tim Knappstein been lately, by all reports he has been out on the field, just rarely sighted. Does anyone know they score of the Nairne vs TV game? It said 0-50 to 0-0 on the HFL site. Did TV play their B grade again?

Was apparently drinking $1 schooners last sunday instead of helping out his team mates!!!

can anyone see any changes in the top 4 placings before finals. I wouold assume that it is going to be 1 vs 2 with the double chance and 3 vs 4 in the first week. Should be an interesting finals series

I know IB forfeited, so I would think all games were forfeited.

I know we had plenty out from As and Bs which contributed to it and we expect to play last round. Piss poor that we couldn't put a team up, but simply not possible this round.

Hahndorf and Uraidla getting up in the first round of finals. So a Hahndorf vs Blackwood final this week with Uri going straight through.

Trent Shorland back to his unstoppable best. 8 goals for the first 3 quarters, then faded in the last. Fitness obviously an issue, however rumour is he will be on the track this week to improve his stamina. Knappstein once again rarely sighted, apparently heard sooking after the game about some sort of injury. That bloke is as soft as butter.

Dont think training is going to help, perhaps reduce him back to half a pack smokes a day and dont let him eat for a month.

It appears Blackwood wanted this weeks final played Saturday night after the A Grade. Wouldn't have anything to do with their golf day Sunday would it? Perhaps they heard that Saturday night is date night at the Shorland household and he would have been unavailable. A lot rides on his ample shoulders.

If we're gonna talk about the most dangerous players in C Grade surely Aaron Cartso Carter is worth a mentions. By all accounts has completed three full trainings in a row, not bad for the silky skilled vet.
