Not the only time i have heard this but i along with others would like to see a new BLG committee... Mick Brien needs to go... Maybe someone else can wine taste in clubrooms on saturday afternoons.
Since he left Willaston, he has not had a great deal of fans... Has upset a lot of people and if the BLG football wants a bright future then it needs to start again.
Thoughts anyone???

For once we agree on something, some new ideas definitely needed there to revitalise the league

You blokes must watch too much TV. The Directors can't do anything in the way of policy or development without majority support of Clubs/Delegates. They can propose but can't implement without direction of clubs. It is incumbent on the clubs as the voting shareholders to make policy and suggest development. If the Directors can't then the Clubs should replace them. Having new Directors won't change anything unless Clubs start becoming more proactive and stop putting their own interests first. If you don't believe me put your hats in the ring and you'll find out soon enough. The Centenary fizzle is a good example, a real chance to increase the BLG's profile gone begging because of club apathy.

Mick Brien has done a fantastic job with the BL&G and has worked extra hard with the Barossa clubs to get them where they are today. His years of experience within SA football is irreplaceable . I would suggest his job is safe and is touted as the next president of the BL&G.

I believe the BL&G would benefit from a outsider on the commitee, perhaps a Max Basheer .

Sunblower, If someone wasnt from the valley up here, why would they want to celebrate the centenary of the Barossa and Light?
Not sure if you know but its now the Barossa Light and Gawler competition, lets celebrate 22 years of that instead.
Couldnt possibly think the Gawler Clubs would support the Barossa and Light centenary!
Lets just celebrate it individually as clubs like us mighty magpies have done!

Mick is a known straight shooter and calls it as he see's it . His constructive criticism is sometimes harsh but its healthy for the future of the BLG . Cant keep patting guys on the back telling them they are doing great things when they aren't .
The truth hurts sometimes 151

Well i guess the truth hurts a lot of people
The Willaston Players, and majority of members dislike the man
Majority of people on the BLG can't stand him
Port Adelaide District Cricket Club, they flicked him
West Torrens Cricket Club also gave him the flick
Port Football Club, he is known as a big mouth
Doesnt leave to many who think like you
