Ricky and Brenton 2008 Mail Medalists
Tuesday, 19 August 2008
Ricky Mackereth of Moonta won an exciting YP Football League Sunday Mail Medal A grade vote count at Ardrossan last night.


A grade Mail Medallist 2008, Ricky Mackereth, of the Moonta Football Club.With three rounds to go, Rick Mackereth of Moonta and Josh Lawson of Kadina were tied on 19 points each, followed by Martin Daniel of Paskeville and Troy Clements of the CMS Crows, both on 16 votes.

In the next round, Mackereth and Lawson both scored three votes and Clements one.

Mackereth scored a best afield vote in the final game to take the medal with 25 votes from Josh Lawson, 22, Troy Clements, 17, and Martin Daniel, 16.



B grade Mail Medallist 2008, Brenton Meier, of the Wallaroo Football Club.In the B grade, Brenton Meier of Wallaroo came from behind in the final three rounds to take the medal with 17 votes, from John Carles of Kadina and J. Allen from Moonta, both on 15.

Just heard that Tim Stringer from Tantanoola won the Mid South East Medal by 1 vote, ahead of Sinkunas from Glencoe.

Tonights KI medal should be pritty open.
Clayton Willson from dudley going for his third medal, Nathan Trethewey will be up there. Could be close or even a tie!!!

Do you know where the rest of the list is for the night - was wondering how some of the other kadina boys had done and who stole the votes of Boof Lawson?

Clayton Willson from Dudley United won his 3rd Mail Medal last night. He also scooped the Ozone medal as well!! Good effort!

At 35 years of age that's Randall's 2nd Mail Medal after winning in 2006.

Reserve Grade medal was won by Anthony Tonkin also from Langhorne Creek on 18 votes ahead of Ben Gibson from Willunga on 17.
