with the 150 years of australian footy painting i heard the artist explain why he had included in the painting a 71 year old from the bush pulled the boots on to make up the numbers for his local footy B grade team who were short that week. so most games and oldest footy players around country footy im keen to see the results (senior games only)

John Schilling from Arthurton (Yorke Valley FL) played over 500 A and B Grade games from the 1960's to the 1990's

He was a handy goalkicker as well and played in the 1982 A Grade Premiership win over Maitland at Wallaroo -- the first flag for the club since 1955

Paringa's Rick Frahn and Clint Frankel have played over 400.
I think there is someone from Loxton who has played over 400 too.
I believe these are the highest tallies in the Riverland.

Clint Frankel's father Kel played 675 senior games.

Would the Loxton player with 400+ be Baker Holmes.

SuperRules Legend Kym Pearce cracked up 500 Senior games for the Kersbrook Footy Club. He also chalked up over 100 for the Gullies as well as countless SuperRules Matches and SuperFools Carnivals.

Gordon MacDonald played over 100 games for Kersbrook while his sons Robert (55), Trevor (450), Bruce (220), John (480) and Grandson Ashley (320) taking the MacDonald tally over 1500 senior games + Junior Matches over 3 generations! John's lad Mitchell (Under 10s) can add to the tally.

Don't forget those who help run the game - there must be a few umpies in there too. Here in Perth, some three or four of the Community Umpires panel goal umps have over 500 - one has nearly 900, and he is young enough to notch up 1000 without a hell of a lot of trouble!
