Does anyone know what Steve Brooks is doing this year ? I havent seen him on any of the league lists this year .

Player of his quality should be playing A1 if not at a league club .

Brooko played under Carr, but his last year at Willaston was Occer first, then he came back and play a few games with us when Centrals had the bye

And i thought willaston didn't have nuff nuffs like you running around .

One of our guys played a couple of years at the donnybrooks and i watched a few of his games , brooks was just coming through the under 17's and playing A grade . He had been on our radar for when he finished at sanfl level.

Used go up and watch a good friend of mines son play , Tim Cocking . Was a shame to loose him for those 2 years but his return was very much welcomed .

You ever have the pleasure of running out onto Elliot Goodger reserve with Tim ?

Interesting talk about Brooks playing under Occonnor, my mail from Gawler is that brooks thinks the guy can't coach and was happier to run water at centrals than play under occonnor.

Well that is a big call against a guy that has coached two premierships in two years at barossa , i dont know much of oconnor other than his thuggery at kilburn and his recent coaching stint in the barossa . I guess his results speak for themselves .

Having said that i know even less about the newly appointed barossa districts coach , does anyone know what credentials this guy holds with the magnet board ? Big boots to fill id suggest ....

Hafey,

I can tell you from reading local papers that the coach of Barossa will be Rian Nelson - i think he was their runner last year.

He was assistant coach last year.
His wife is also a trainer at the club and an award winning football photographer.
They're very passionate about their local footy.

If he is a local bloke, it is good to see a club going with him, for a club that has been bagged for high number of imported talent, go to see a local given a go.
