Absolutely strangled their offensive run and Ramblers had no answers. Two quite evenly matched teams but it would appear Imperials have a huge advantage in the coaching box.

Hate to admit it but I agree with you on the huge advantage in the coaching box. All Hein does is sit there and let the game roll on making no changes. I believe you had made 6 rotations before we made one on the weekend. Nice bloke and all but seriously has no idea

Good game of footy at Johnstone Park today. Wait was fantastic for Imps and Sheedy played an absolute blinder, kicking the winning the goal with a checkside from the boundary. Harrowfield and O'Malley had a battle for the ages. Looked as though both sides were rusty in patches so you'd expect both to improve a fair bit as the season goes on.

Little bit hard to describe what happened at Johnstone Park today. A terrific game of football with classy performers in both teams. Amazing end to the game which saw Mannum kick the last 2 goals while playing one short. It concluded with the Mannum president being reported. I honestly believe we may have seen a murder had Imperials won!!

FTO, I agree with you there would have been a murder . Seriously though it is difficult and a bit embarrassing to be an imps supporter when for no reason the life members assign themselves to umpiring on a day that they didn't have to . Mannum have every right to discuss some of the decisions made , especially those in our 50 that resulted in 4 goals. The main issue I have is that the umpires then try to make up for bad calls and penalise imps with some dodgy frees. Froggy is a little to obvious at times. To make matters worse 2 of them are the best we have in this league , so with the standard of competition lifting , the umpires will have to do the same. Mannum were very good though and for once the greatest collo was out coached especially in the last 10 minutes with 17 men , we should have exposed this and didn't. Anyway thank god for all the 50 m penalties given to imps , without them the score would have been at least 3 goals worse.

seems to me the imperials coach thinks he his coaching the afl. rotating the midfielders every 5 minutes off the bench. someone needs to tell him it is country footy. and u want your best players on the field most of the game. no harm in resting them in the forward pocket where they can still be damaging. surely imperial players in this rotation wouldnt be happy. rumour is imperials coach putting in for hawthorn coach next year

What a fantastic day it was yesterday at Johnstone Park. A huge congratulations to the League and Imperial Football Club.
Extremely well organised and a fantastic game to show case the RMFL league. Both clubs should be very proud of the football played, it has hard and tough but nothing went too far ON THE FIELD, credit to all players.

Very scrappy game between the bears and bluds yesterday, jervois kicked the first 3 and then the bears cranked up and kicked 9 of the next 10 goals, only for jervois to peg it back to a couple by halftime. Second half was a real grind for both teams and goals were hard to come by, bears lost Motlop about a minute into the last quarter with what looked like a broken wrist, was good for the bears to get another win, but it was one of those games where I don't think either coach would be overly happy, as lots of room for improvement for both, reading the results this morning I was shocked to see Owen love bagged 9, didn't realise he kicked that many.

Well Mannum have done it again, wonder why they don't learn, it is little wonder they are the worst disciplined side on the ground when you see and hear what comes from in and around their coaches box. If players continually hear ch*** and S*** said about umpires, then they get caught up in it and use the same crap on the ground, then club says woo is us we get picked on. Well now they will have 2 less people over the next 2 and 3 weeks there carrying on with the abuse. The crap those two people did after the game was a #?*# disgrace not only to themselves but also to their football club. Maybe just maybe they can now settle down, show some discipline off the ground and i am sure it will improve on the ground. The other club from Thursday also needs to sort out their coaches box as some of the crap coming out of their box was disgraceful as well but they did not come on the ground after the game an front the umpires.
Everybody needs to revist the ZERO TOLERANCE that is written in the budget each week.

What a >edited< you are flukey, there was no such thing from Imps box , and for that matter I heard nothing from Mannums either. Just an idiot after had a go at the umpires which lasted 10 seconds , the umps should have just walked off but they wanted to stay and argue as well . I don't know where you stood but you are full of it. Go back to your league where no one cares enough to argue .

Used to be you must have been unconscious. It was some of the worst abuse towards umpires and opposition players I have heard in a long time watching country football. Three games for the president and two for another official from Mannum (who abused the umpires in the umpires room) was quite light. I have supported Imperials for a long time and to hear some of the abuse coming from our supporters and the coaches box was very disappointing. Everybody makes mistakes and umpires are no different but they never cheat and to accuse them of it is just wrong.

Fair enough FTO I didn't know about the umpires change room situation. I didn't hear anyone from either box call any ump a cheat tho. I agree the umpires do not deserve to be abused verbally by anyone but they have to learn to rise above a lot of it and not be so precious and give 50 m away all the time to keep their own ego in tact.

Just to get it Straight bot incidents happened on the ground immediately after siren there was no incident in umpires room - i repeat nothing happened in umpires room. and UTB have you ever umpired should try one day even if it is an u13's or u15's for your club perhaps, may see things in a slightly different light
