After reading the Pioneer today, you would have to think Barmera are red hot favourites for the flag with the amount of recruits they have picked up. They are going to be very tough to beat.

Yeah. Berri will be a couple of years away I reckon. Barmera should go all the way with the players they have. It would be devastating for them if they couldn't go all the way this year.

I guess the pokies allow them to keep buying, other clubs probaly dont have the same cash anymore especially the way everyone finances in the region are with grape prices etc!

I reckon they might have played in the 1980 GF. I know Berri won that year and Barmera was minor premier.
Before that, maybe 1973?

won't be as good as you think lost some real quality and the Districts guys arent world beaters
