So you should win. You pay a hundred grand a year for players. I'll still back Barmera to give you a touch up.

And thats still 20 grand less than Berri. ;)

[quote="Rough"]Our treasurer has the first dollar he ever earned and so I dont reckon he would come at a hundred grand. Little struggling club :-({|= of Mannum Vs the financial juggernaut that is Barmera  . Might make for an interesting day out.

We are missing a few players so we will see how it goes. Should be a good hitout.

Couldn't even raise a smile when Power was beaten in the last quarter it means so little.

You must be having a lend Barmera are in a strong financial position but we dont spend a quarter of the amount of Mannum!

Not sure how to respond Andrew. To be honest not sure exactly how much both clubs spend and prefer not to know. Have a very basic personal theory that as long as clubs finish in the black come AGM then they have not spent too much. My job is the same as every other supporter, just have a s/load of fun on the way. Hopefully at some stage points system will mature and work to reduce country clubs commitments. Not happening just yet but still better than flawed salary caps (hopefully).

You were spot on Bowla, a fantastic hit out. Everyone would have walked away with a s/load of positives after yesterday.
Anyone out there from Moorook, you guys should be really proud of the way your oval came up. Fantastic!!!

Mannum by a couple goals on a fairly humid pitch 11 something to 8 somthing I think. Hall, Hunter and Woodward from Mannum were fairly tidy and a young Aboriginal lad from Barmera was fairly exciting. Sorry I cant remember his name but for such a young guy he was impressive. Pricey looked a tad puffed. Solid hit out for something so early.

Cobby beat Berri today. They have a bit of work to do if they want to be competitive in the RFL this year.

South Mildura beat an undermnned Renmark by a couple of goals. Not sure if Sth Mildura was full strength.
Lots of hungover boys in the Renmark team!
