I think if they return to a club they started their junior footy at a club no points. A player can return to a club for no pionts if they have previously played 25 games for that club

most people play indys because that sort of stuff doesnt happen, ie its a much more relaxed friendly competiiton

Relaxed and friendly it is but there is still a premier at seasons end and all clubs want that. Some obviously put in more work than others. Cant see what harm it is doing if someone is "watching" and "taking notes". If thats happening you obviously have them worried. While they are worrying about you they havn't got their eye on there own backyard. Play on I say.

Certainly Independents is played in a relaxed and friendly atmospere so why does it need to have the points system enforced?.

All Independent clubs have to recruit to survive but under this system 19/20 player's recruited would come from a higher competition and therefore be worth points.

Can someone tell me if former club juniors returning to their home club attract zero points.

Thanks BS a certain player and his 'girlfriend' previously mentioned were told they would accrue two points each. They both played well over 20 junior games and both played over 50 senior games.

1- Berri recruited a few should be better. Storic a massive loss dont think loosing Brooks will affect them too much.
2-Waikerie always around the mark.
3-Loxton should be ok lost a few big guns
4-Barmera few in few out probly be bout the same as last year
5-Renmark alot of outs not sure they can cover them but in saying that I dont know who they have picked up so could go higher
6-loxton nth struggled last year think they will again sadly

If loosing Brooks doesnt affect Berri too much im sure they will be happy. Kicked 26 goals and won the hard ball all year, hard to replace imo

Surely the blokes they've picked up can cover 1.4 goals a game?

If a player can average 1.4 goals a game I'd have in my team.

Yes he would be hard to replace, you are on the money BC.

just been reading the rfl v saafl comparisons. Have been involved with both and can tell you RFL is Div 3/4. Different styles - RFL is open footy, SAAFL lot tighter and faster. Div 1 for eg, Goodwood would beat 2009 Renmark by 15 goals. Depth is a killer. Same in Div 2. Having said that many players in bottom half of RFL teams would not make it at div 3 level. Top 4 might play A1.

Totally different player. Did Brooks sit at Full Forward all day??? No, he played in the midfield. Do you just judge a bloke on how good he is, by the goals he kicks?
