the rumour i heard was that there were 2 blokes in their (lofty) starting 18 not happy and were looking for a move to the maggies. as well as 3 young boys under the age of 21 looking to mover here too. i wont mention names till i hear it confirmed. ps dont see why u would leave mt lofty as fleet and cooper to play div 2 for a team thats not even top 3. seems a bit silly to me. div 1 is where its at.

Wow, three A grade prems in three years and four consecutive GF appearances in the B's and blokes aren't happy? I find that hard to believe, and if it is true, hard to understand. And this is at a club with no egos or wankers (some opposition may argue!) or internal disputes. What more could you want at a footy club.

Your right dangermouse I think they are a bunch of wankers. But I can see why they would want to leave you want to play at the best level and A grade is as good as it gets. B grade doesn't get all the hype like the A grade and at the end of the day a club is measured on it's A grade flags not B's 17's or 14's.

This is probably old news but apparently Lucas Herbert (Ex-Crow, North Adelaide player) will be playing for Blackwood next year. Will make for a challenging ruck combination with Herbert and Bowen taking turns in the centre.

That rumour came around at the start of the year but he didn't play there!

Did he play at all this year?

Agreed BALLHOG, but I would define playing at the best level staying at the strongest club in the league and working hard on the track to cement your A grade spot- Both of these guys have the talent and physique to be awesome A grade pemiership Hills footballers, but it doesn't just get handed to you. Going to a mid-table div 2 club to be the big fish in the small pond is not playing at your best level.

I heard that Herbert was the size of a house and wouldn't be any use to anyone. Let's just hope the wheels fall of Blackwood.

That is a massive statement considering 2 of their 3 imports finished in the top 5 of Bridgewaters B and F, the imports were football players not miracle workers!!!!!

I would not take to much out of the B and F at Bridgewater from what I've heard the people that vote in it are very biast, also heard that some of the young lads didn't think to much of some of the imports.

gotta side with newman on the imports making a difference at bridgy. it would take 4 or 5 quality imports to turn things around so can't blame the couple we did have this year for not turning the club into world beaters. Have heard a few guys are looking at moving away... local guys... that's unfortunate. There'd probably only be a couple of A-graders other clubs would take and can't really see many of our B-grade getting much of a game anywhere else. Might as well stay put boys and try try again.

Yes but if they are bias wouldnt they be biased towards bridgewater players not imports. From what I hear from the imports if you are not from bridgewater you have a very hard time fitting in, this may be the clubs problem.

Shanty give your good mate Scotty Hodges a buzz and get him up to shanty town, a man of his stature would surely turn the club around.

Shanty lad why would you stay put at a club that has lost it's way. Not much fun being on the other end of 30 goal drubbings most weeks. From what I understand the reason for the clash is the fact the imports get paid and some of the locals who don't get a cent play just aswell if not better than them.

You have got to be joking dont you. I would say players of the calibre of Stano, both smith boys and beaver would be the only ones deserving some form of cash. The problem at the club is the leadership, no leadership at all, Bateman Gain and Henshke have their little click group an undermine everything the club is trying to do. Pretty disappointing from senior players at the club setting a terrible example.

I think you forgot Ben Gordon in making that statement.

personally i think it has more to do with the "imports" taking the cash and running. i understand people have family and other commitments but more often then not the players recieving $ would be out the door within minutes after recieving it. Bentley and Butchard seemed to fit in quite well while they played at the club. i would be more then happy to sit around and have a chat with the blokes.

Amateur Footy I think u will find Ben Gordon would be one of the more popular blokes at the club-amongst the players I didn't hear one person unhappy about having him back. He is a top bloke and gun footballer. Probably kicked 14 goals in the last 3 winnnig GF's- enough said.
