South east clubs fly players in.
Will any players be flying in if they go to Virginia?

C'mon Torp, do any of those organisations actually care about footy in their town?

Why stay in the APFL torp? Ring up Andrew Demitriou and tell him Virginia is interested in playing half its games on the Gold Coast. Mum reckons it's a great idea!

Can someone confirm if the points system is going ahead in the APFL. It's a heaps better idea than the salary cap as it can actually be enforced. Did incentive payments count as part of the salary cap anyway? Torp are you guys still paying people or just relying on this incentive payment?

Yeah I don't think I've seen Woolworths Ltd. sponsor a local footy club...

Serious question torp, did Greg Phillips leave Port of his own accord or was he asked to leave? I've heard some confliciting things from some people about whether or not he chose to leave or whether he was given the sack. Some I've talked to weren't a real fan of him as a coach.

This from the Advertiser, I assume we have all heard of that Andy?
Hopefully it will put an end to that rumour!!

BYRON Pickett's football journey will end where it began - with the Port Adelaide Magpies.

The 2004 Norm Smith Medallist has signed with the SANFL club for two years after retiring from AFL club Melbourne at the end of last season.

Giving back to the club which helped him further his career - plucking him from Port Lincoln club Mallee Park - was always on the 30-year-old's agenda.

"I've always seen myself finishing my career with the Magpies," said Pickett, who played in AFL premierships with the Kangaroos (1999) and Port Adelaide (2004).

"And when (football operations manager) Bob (Clayton) got in touch with me about returning to the club it was really a natural choice for me."

While Pickett's impact on should be a boost for coach Tim Ginever, his presence at Alberton will also be of benefit on the other side of the fence.

The AFL's rising star in 1998 will also act as a mentor to the indigenous players at the club's development academy.

"The club has been working hard to develop players from its country zone in recent years," Pickett, 179cm, said.

"I'm looking forward to helping them with their football and at the same time enjoying my footy with some success."

And probably a few Beers and a Pizza or seven!!

Not sure whether it has been unanimously voted in, yet Matey! this new system, some clubs in favour and some clubs not so sure.
