Beg to differ there. In the News Review Messenger up this way last week there was an article about the Gowans boys saying that wanted go around again at the Dogs next year.

i have bias towards lofty but here are my tips:

J/C: Lofty, I think the week off in under 14's footy isn't necessarily a good thing when your young and spritly the body recovers easily and the young devils have quite a bit of momentum coming into this weeks final having said that Blackwood have been the team to beat all season and will be brimming with confidence after beating the devs by 7 goals last time they met im gonna tip an upset and hope our lads can get up by 5 pts B.O.G J penny (Mt Lofty)

S/C: Ironbank, this game is going to be an absolute cracker, both teams have several gun players Uraidla has Wotton, Liebelt, Kluvanik but Ironbank have the Pope brothers, Shearwood and Spacie this game is gonna be won in the centre and i believe Ironbank will get on top, they only just lost out at Hahndorf after leading until half time. I think they would have learnt from last time and will win by 2 goal B.O.G T. Spacie (Ironbank)

B's: Mt Lofty, Again Bias but last time they met Mt lofty probably should have won and if it wasnt for some undisciplined play we probably would have. It's going to be interesting to see whether or not Jason Pope and Ben Badenoch play B grade or A grade Popey would be very unlucky if he doesnt make the A grade side. Who would make way for Badenoch and Popey, Ewers and who else? I think Mt lofty will pull away in the last qtr and win by 3 goal
B.O.G D. Mutton (Mt Lofty)

A's: Lofty, Blackwood have played some good footy lately and really pushed Mt lofty last time at Uraidla. Mt lofty's fitness eventually stood out over the woodies kicking on in the second half. With Tomlinson and Sidebottom crumbing in and around Gigney and Roche anything can happen. A battle im really looking forward to is between arguably the two best ruckmen in the hills Bawden and Bowen, Bowen will probably have the upper hand in the ruck duel but billy would be more agile around the ground. Lofty by 5 goal B.O.G Matt Stapes

"I've received an off too good to refuse, it's the best I've ever been offered,' Johnson said.

As has been said these exact rumours surfaced last year and didn't come to fruition. The Gowans boys were on the news the other night pledging their allegiance to Central's for next season so I don't know where you got that info from spearhead. Loby are set to be cellar dwellars again next season.

If this is true about lobethal looks like Bridgewater will strugle to win a game next year. But by the sounds of things that's what their supporters want for the club, stay in central and not win a game and get rolled every week.

Reckon apart from the SC this years grand final winners are a bit easy to predict. Blackwood JC, Uraidla SC, Blackwood B's and Mt Lofty A's. In fact I will go as far as saying the only hope Blackwood have in the A Grade is a terrorist bombing or Butch Marston umpiring!

Whatever. Anything can happen in September and it usually does.

I'd say our JC's are up against it, but there's no reason with a cracking performance they couldn't get up. Look back to the SC's GF in 2006 - Blackwood undefeated all year, steamrolling everyone, then our 17's knock them off in the GF.

None of Sat's games are clear 1 sides affairs.

Go you Devils.

Devilsadv - you've got as much chance in the JC as Blackwood have in the A's! None! Unless of course Butch Marston is umpiring!!

Surprised that so many think 17's will be game of the day. Whilst I agree it should be a cracker I think the B grade will give it a dam good run. A team chasing 4 flags in a row up a against a team who has been top all year (almost) and expected to win....I know who I'd like to be!!!! Seriously though if you looked at Balckwood and Mt Lofty's form in the second half of the season then Lofty would be favourite in the B grade. Anyway my tips are:

14's Blackwood - Dont know enough about players to pick medal or margin
17's Ironabnk 15pts - Spacie or Shearwood best
B's Lofty - 3 pts - Maslin best
A's Lofty - 38 pts - Burch or Cutting best

That said ******* c'mon Woodies lets see someone different win a couple of flags. As much as Pagey is a bit up himself he has been a great coach and contibutor to HFL so would be good to see him go out with some success.

Thought the 2 senior games were bith a bit dissapointing today, not really competative matches but well done to both winners.

Managed to get to Lobethal to catch the second half of the A Grade and its fair to say the Ironbank 17s were well on the way.

Good to see.
Also well done to the Mighty Devs
