Agree about Burchy, but think too many votes will be taken off him. Bawden, NPG and Flash all had games where they would get first best votes IMO (Bawden prob had 3). Nunan would have a lot of BOG's in a team that did well. Not much talk about Gigney, Blackwood 2nd and he dominated a lot of those games they won.
Think Cooper might be in same boat as burch with others shouldering the load.

Any ideas on the locations for this weeks central div matches lads???

Surely would be down to Blackwood, Uraidla or Birdwood (and whoever misses this week to get the Prelim)... probably Loby for the GF I would think this year?

The word on the weekend was one game is at Uraidla and the League were going to check out Mt Ronnie and Heathfield to see if they were up to scratch. They were hoping to play one game at one of the Mounts this weekend and the other next weekend wih the GF booked in at Loby.

It is a very hard call.... Burch and Nunan for mine have been the two most consistent players week/week out.... Gigney would stand out with that head of his and I am sure in the tougher games the umpires would easily remember his noggin...... Chris Shee would have won 5 or so BOG's in the games they won.... Should make for an interesting night

Budget said Uraidla Sat & TBA Sunday. Sunday won't be at Mt Ronnie as they are playing in the A grade final. Both Mounts ovals are shot anyway so I would suggest Blackwood on Sunday and Birdwood for the Prelim?????

Yeah the game is at Blackwood on Sunday. I think they'll do an inspection on Monday to determine where the prelim is.
GF locked in for Lobey.

I wouldn't believe that for a second. Burchy has been int he best most weeks for lofty. By the way, I wouldn't count out stocky wood. Woody is a consistent player week in and week out. Although I hear he was stuck in a back pocket, but he plays some of his best footy back there.

Lofty over the past few seasons have polled well together. NPG and Flash will only poll in a few games. Look for Burch and Woody up there. But by the sounds of it Nunan, may go well again. he is a good bloke, great player and rarely plays badly. Wouldn't suprise me if Gigney does poll well, he has a great talent of reading the ball in defense.

BTW, is Pagey still coaching blackwood. I always thought he was a great coach. Had plenty of respect for him when I played under him.

Anyway, Good luck to all in the counts.

Could have done with Harold Holt in the backlines too! Wanted to go to the colder weather in the Vic ranges, i.e. snow. Typical politician!

Happy to say that Mt Lofty has developed a healthy, competitive rivalry with Ironbank in the B Grade. Always a tight, close game, as it was on Saturday, and i have had a lot of respect for their club.
I know rules are rules. We need to make sure that the playing field is even, therefore only B graders should play B grade.
However, if Ironbank need to resort to these "tactics" to "win" a final, that is taking it a bit far. Admit you were beaten by a better team, all the players whom had played B grade the week before because they are B graders and get on with your preparations.
The club management is developing a very, very poor reputation.
Note to Ironbank U/14's - jump ship now while you still have a chance in life!

If this is the case, then I apologise. I was under the impression that a protest was lodged by the club. Maybe I should take 10 deep breaths before posting, or 10 deep bourbons. :drinkers:
