Play with some mates I believe. Couldn't see him leaving Imps footy though. What league are Nairne in. Is it the Hills country league?

Perhaps they've used the 2500$ a game that McLeod gets for guys that can play all season?

That was nearer the $5000.00 per, to qualify for finals and played for nicks from there. Ended up easy cash for him   5 year rotation of funds. Had it, blew it, see em again in a few years time.

hearing that Bowen was given a contract to sign when recruited to Tailem and said that my word is enough to play. Sounds like now his word dosn't mean a thing if he is going to Mannum

My information was he was gone even before Tailem Bends B&F night. At that stage he had some options, one of which was Mannum. i believe he decided on Mannum as he is good mates with some of the Mannum recruits and has respect for the RMFL. I do feel for Tailem and Duane Edwards as he has a tough job before him. I also believe Brad Wakefield has now signed with Mannum.

I hear that Wakefield signed with Mannum after already signing with Karoonda. Any chance of Karoonda holding him to his contract?

Can't see it happening. Why would he want to go and play Hills Country?? Would be a massive step backwards in quality of competition.

Yeah that was my thinking Mr Willy. Too good a player to be strutting his stuff out there. But then again i couldnt see him leaving the cricket side either.

There's rubbish on here about other clubs fto, not just imps. After all it's a forum where people post what they are hearing around the grapevine.

To be honest mate, it didn't surprise me a whole lot - the timing of it did (I think it only happened very late in September) - I actually thought he was a chance to leave the year before... I am bloody glad he didn't though!! :D

Already posted a month ago about Robinson , he will not be at Mannum as simply they do not need him. Gene is a star in the right team and would have been far better off at Mannum for next year anyway. He was a Mannum local who for what ever reason left to play with his mates at Mypo. Gene played all his junior footy at Mannum and he and the coach won a junior flag he also gets on well with the coach at Mannum so i thought originally my source would be correct but i have since learned he will be staying at Mypo. Mannum could have the team of the century with some of the junior future stars that have left Mannum in recent times. Can anyone shed some light on what is going on in the junior development over there and why do good juniors keep leaving.??

So he's 100% signed at mypo used to be? Or have you just heard he's staying there? I heard he's going to mannum on big dollars as I said before. Apparently he wants to win a flag in the RMFL before he gives it a crack in town,

I've heard he's more likely to go to Karoonda than back to Mannum, if he was leaving. If I was a betting man, I would say this is another rumour 8)
