Surely if your kid is good enough doesn't matter how far to travel.
Think will give more kids an opportunity to play at that level.
Don't spit the dummy Coz you want to be frontrunners

Yep if my kid is good enough id drive him to elizabeth if i had to. Dosent mean that its not more on an inconvenience especially when coming from Meningie

Recruiting a little hush at all clubs in the lead up to Christmas. I was talking to a mate with close ties to the SANFL. He wanted a slab on either Clayton or Sheedy from Mannum to win the Medal. I havent personally seen them play so was reluctant to part with the possible hard earn't. Are they really that good.

Both have won Magarey medals not that long ago, so yes they can play a bit. I think they'll both carve up in the RMFL if they stay fit. Could tie for the mail medal.
I say no to drugs, but they don’t listen.

Both would arguably be in the top 5 midfielders to have played in the SANFL in the last 10 yearrs (with the Gowans brothers and Allan from NA rounding out the 5..I may have overlooked 1 or 2 there, perhaps McKenzie, and Thomas from CD..but that discussion is probably for the SANFL forum).

However, I personally would see Sheedy as a (much) more likely Mail Medal winner - due to Clayton's history of back chatting umpires, and his tendency to get injured).

Agree re Sheedy. There seems to be more medals in Mannum's midfield with these two and Diddles Harvey than a war chest. As it stands you would say that Mannum may have the best 3 players in the comp with Sheedy, Clayton and Bowen - if they are ALL coming. Still not enough to make the Roos favourites though imo

Have heard that the Roos are having problems fitting Bowen in, under their points allocation, any news on this?

V Mypolonga game by the Mypolonga b grade at the caravan.the sponsor wrote a letter to the club with no one responding( pretty bad by Mypolonga when I hear they are in trouble financially

^Is that a contributing factor to them losing some of their recruits?

That story has been largely exaggerated gun. Was some friendly banter, but we towelled them up to give us the minor round premiership. Which the club was very excited about.

Perhaps they've used the 2500$ a game that McLeod gets for guys that can play all season?

Why did Harrowfield switch to Nairne for cricket - and now possibly footy?

Play with some mates I believe. Couldn't see him leaving Imps footy though. What league are Nairne in. Is it the Hills country league?

Sheedy Clayton and Bowen are yet to sign and lets face it not a reality until Dalwood rubber stamps clearances , all this hype i am now led to believe is all just that , i am certainly not saying they are not going to Mannum just that its not a done deal yet. Still got me stuffed how they even got to talk to them in the first place apparently it was the coach but also heard Tailem approached Hally during last season ( connelly) which is not the done thing and the whole Bowen thing back fired serve themselves right if true. Harrowfield and Wait will be at imps next year , hopefully they are a little more careful off the field next year.??

I know this is a forum where you can write anything but surely you need to to have some facts before stating something. Luke Harrowfield will be at Imperials next year. End of story.
