South Gawler bubble burst
Another on Saturday will be Willastons
This Childs guy Willaston has picked up, cant make Sturts seconds, so i cant understand all the fuss
Scott Leal putting feelings out to a few clubs about coaching opportunities next year, perhaps he should have taken Sturts seconds job when he had the opportunity, or Henleys job, but his asking price at Henley put paid to that.

Scott Leal is a gun and freelings best player any club in the league would welcome him with open arms providing he doesn't ask for a squillion dollars. Tanunda are impossible to beat, Willaston will beat Barossa. Angaston over Freeling & Kapunda to continue Nuri's nightmare.

Best of luck to the players , coaching staff and supporters of Barossa Districts this weekend.

What a magnificent club , the players must run out onto there ground at Williamstown feeling 10Ft tall and bullet proof to that thunderous applause from there adoring fans.

The whole football fraternity could take a leaf out of the Bulldogs book, Aussie Rules football would be the big winner .

I'm not sure about judging Scott Leal on his last 2 final appearances, the bloke coaches and gets 30+ possessions most weeks, no easy task i can imagine. The stelzer boys were stitched up by Lee "Rioli" Makris in round 1 this year i'm sure you were there to witness that one james07?

Would only say one over rated player there jamesy .... makris is fat , slow , lazy and soft as butter in the clinches . The guy has never stood up in a crunch game .

Steltzer has played well when BD are playing well but he is not in Scott Leals league . Put the two players up on the market and 99% of the clubs will take Leal before Steltzer guaranteed .

Hey james07 you been on the williamstown magic mushrooms again , what a ridiculous comment !

Silly comment about Makris hafey, i have witnessed the bloke in big games even last season when the game was in the balance against Tanunda. South were 5 goals down and Makris got the next 4 clearances in a row and nearly won the game off his own boot. Unfortunately time ran out but the bloke is at best in the clinches so you have obviously seen minimal amounts of him playing.

South will need Makris to be at his absolute best of they are to match it with the Tanunda midfield... If Makris, Bevis, Bayliss and Anthony Johnston can fire you would give the lions half a chance against the undefeated magpies...

And your point is ??

winning clearances when the the game is over doesnt impress me , how about putting your head over the pill and leading the way early on ... i guess the pace of the game would be too great for him to get to any contests in the first 3 quaters . Any bloke that is 10 kilo over weight playing in the mid field cant be taken seriously .

Again this is just my opinion and back pocket you being a south gawler man will disagree .

Shane Riggs was a champion !

I am also a fan of the Riggs family so we are in agreeance there, but Lee Makris runs himself into the ground every week. When a bloke lacks fitness like Lee does, it certainly impresses me that after 100 minutes of footy he can still break away from packs and drive the ball forward. You are right though i'm a south man and that is only my opinion.

Just read the reviews in The Leader in barossa and does anyone know the scribe for them Mike Teakle, he must be from Angaston as the slant he put on the Angaston/Tanunda game you would think Angaston won by 50 points not lost. Claimed Angaston had found the soft underbelly of Tanunda!!

Mike Teakle probably probes this site for fuel to add to his incoherant ramblings we are blessed with every week.

Tanunda, in a closer game than many are thinking, although south oval is probably better for Tanunda's style of play than Tanudna Oval.
Freeling, they just have to win if they are to be in the mix this season, Angaston got on a high getting cloe to Tanunda for a minute last week, but too many outs for Angaston, and another following tribunal hearing.
Barossa, by a big margin, they are on track and playing solid footy, won't see there best until September. (here comes Hafey!!)
Nuriootpa, the only chance this season for a win for the tame tigers, McCarthy loss to Kapunda has far more reaching implications than just one player, confidence would now be very low at Bomber land.

Willaston has signed Sean childs from sturt this week and will play saturday. I dont know much about him but apparently he is a very athletic and powerful key backman. He will be tested this week against Barossa's forward line.
This is definitely match of the round. I'm tipping Willaston in a very close one.
