I know Eckermann has definitely left and pretty sur Schar has aswell. Eckers is moving to NSW for work, haven't heard about Bartlett & Albrechstein yet

Thanks BB. Some notable losses there. How are things at Ramblers? Dougall and Button coming back out for a kick?

Not a lot happening ATM. Doogs is about 90% but Buttsy is unlikely, maybe 50/50 at best

Tyson Matthews has been hitting the track hard along with big Alex Button and if these guys get fit will be a huge bonus. Tyson played a sprinkle of b's last year while Alex was overcoming a knee op so was unable to get a decent level of fitness up last year.

The new coach has a couple sons around the 6'5 mark and they might be coming out for a kick, not sure on their ability but they are young so could develop into handy players

Yeah mate Eckers is definitely a goner and will be very hard to replace with his experience. Alby may be heading back to town and Gino will probably have a crack at SANFL. So not much joy at this stage of proceedings.

I expect Ramblers to be thereabouts again and head into the season as favourites IMO. Heard any rumblings from your noisy neighbours?

I'd ask Used to Be but I think he's somehow more involved in Mannum.

Apparently they have picked up an ex sanfl player but the name slips my mind. O'brien returning from Peake but will only be a fringe a grader I think

Still unsure about Wait and I think atleast one if not both Kenny boys are moving on.

Going by that article, if they have signed Bowen and Sheedy then that would total 20 points so I dont know how that one is going to work for them. Surely they wont go playing 4-5 kids each week

When are Mannum going to learn it is no use pumping your tyres up in November. The smart clubs hold their cards close to their chest and let their performances once the real games start do the talking.

You'd have to assume they'd either (a) be applying for extra points (b) have not in fact signed all last years players (c) have not recruited the players mentioned (d) none of the above and they've got themselves in mischief?

Everybody knows that you can go recruiting guns all you like. And if thats the case and you have to play 4 or 5 juniors that are not up to a grade standard or even fring a graders every week doesnt work. Fair enough having 8 or 10 guns but if ya haven't got atleast a little bit of quality to fill all the other positions around them then that makes it very hard for these star players to carry the extra load to get you over the line.

Amazing how all the big names according to some on this forum, are certainties/100% for Mannum - but when the club talks to the media, they are supposedly a good chance of signing, or they are hopeful of signing them soon.

So is it, that they haven't all signed/committed - or are some on here making claims that aren't 100% correct - at least at this stage?
