Barmera for the flag next year. I'm calling it now. Surely they have to win next year? It's been 20 years since they have been successful for god's sake. Is that a record???
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Dont you guys get it
The new points system is as simple as ABC. Employment, where you live, reasons for moving etc all have SFA to do with anything. It goes on where you played footy last year, and the points that league is credited for. Each player loses a point every year they stay at a club

The only time it gets even the slightest bit confusing is when a player makes a jump from AFL (5 points) to a 2 point league, such as the Mallee or lower Amatures, then back to a 3 point league such as yourselves.

Year 1- AFL-Mallee = 5 points
Year 2- Mallee-RFL = 4 points not the 2 allocated by the Mallee, this stops year skipping, especially in previous years where the Mallee & Mid Murray were 0 point leagues to many

I love Barmera. I played all my junior football there. Played in 5 flags in a row and then went to Berri and had no success whatsoever, so I know exactly how you blokes feel. 20 years is a long time though.

Pretty sure its not a record, think the 83 flag was the first in about 40 odd years.

A fair effort that. I'd be surprised if some of the old blokes can remember their first ones, what with alziemers etc kicking in.

Which club has lost out on a potential recruit because he believes they will use up all their points for next season?

Not sure - but the player obviously isn't very confident in his own ability otherwise he would sign up and ensure he was picked every week. Why would he be concerned otherwise if the club uses up all their points.
