Cough cough bull$hit, I heard from some one pretty close to him a couple of weeks back that he had said mannum where chasing him pretty hard.

well he can say what he likes if it makes him feel better about the situation. We all hear different things and this forum is a great testament to that. I won't be saying anymore on the matter just wanted another side of the story out there for people to base their opinions on.

Let's just hope all these big guns mannum have bought in (the club must have won't the powerball to do so) that they train at the club and not in town so the club will gel as one and not two different clubs like they have over the last 4 years. Good luck to them. If a flag doesn't come out of this..... Big money loss.

I thought city players trained at Mannum on Thursday nights, like every other club? Training is a small part, having the right players is more important and Mannum seem to bringing them in. I think locals like O'Malley, Maloney, Walker and young Male and Hermann (think that's his name) show a professional attitude. Its quite clear the ones who can't be bothered leave. Most of our players at Imps hang around due to our large amount of professionals. Seems clear Mannum haven't had that cos as the league gets stronger most of their players have left trying get an easier kick.

My observation would be that nearly every club in this league is really well run. The thing that seperates Imperials and Ramblers is location. It has got nothing to do with professionalism.

Gee i love it when Mannum cop it But, we didnt get that response when we lured Sayers and krollig from Mannum who were struggling at the time and i dont think that ramblers coped much either when they stole Machetti and zadow, some of these players were once the best in the comp. I know its another comp but how is that little womble Quinns style , Mannum have been hit harder than anyone over the years with players leaving for big bucks . I remember when Tailem won 3 may have been 4 premierships in a row they were as cocky as hell , there time will come again tho. Lets face it if Bowen walked into any club and wanted to play who in their right mind would tell him they dont want him.

Used to be, can I ask who the mastermind or connnection was behind this big inclusion. Was it the coach??

Not sure i will look into it , my sources tell me he has plenty of contacts in adelaide but not sure about the latest recruits. If i had to guess i would say he would of organised it or had a lot to do with it , i will endevour to find out tho. If all this Mannum crap is true and plenty are saying that it is who will be the scape goat , has Harvey definately signed as i would of thought he would have to go?? nothing bad against him but if the money he is demanding is true and i am led to believe $500 plus then its a no brainer he is certainly not worth that based on last year and he is another year older next year . i think he is 2 points and Mannum would need that. ??

speaking of dog acts , the rumour of the day is that a veteran ruckman from Mannum is shopping himself around ??? quinn has offered him the job in cash to brick up the hole in the clubrooms left from the huxtable tornado that ripped through and was not repaired to the full extent of the insurance claim. Comedy yes but this ruckman is doing this and that is a fact , how do i know? he his offering his services to us , we dont really want him points vrs the money he wants. Why would he do that with the possibilities on offer at Mannum this year , i further believe he is only pushing his price up to hold Mannum to ransom.... now that is a dog act after the amount of years he would have been paid , you think that at the end of his footy career he would want to be just happy to be playing i think the chip man needs a serious chat with this bloke because imps is not a home for him.. we do not pay locals full stop and thats the way it should be.

maybe he is sick of the locals not being looked after, where the recruits have it on a plate for them, and return mediocre results. who knows? but if there is anyone that would know i dare say your the man who would Used To Be.

Mate you really have no idea, Harvey would go home at half time if he was only getting 5 hunge.
I believe he has taken a pay cut though to fit all these new guys in. He's a very loyal clubman and just wants to play in a premiership for the roos.
He has also passed the keys to the houseboat onto Sheedy and Bowen.

Who is this Ruckman you are speaking of?

Brad has had his own health issues and it would be good to see him just get on the field this year and possibly even play some good footy. He is probably demanding top dollar to buy and replace all the oxygen in the air that 'used to be' inhales/steals around the bar on a Saturday night.

Well you had better tell JC to stop telling lies then cause that's the number he was spruiking to other suitors.

Haha no other club was a chance. He would have had some fun, seeing what he could get. Fact is he could have got a lot more at other clubs.

With those players it should be a certainty, but history shows they've been close so many times in the last 2 decades, but only 1 flag to show for it.

Great for mannum yeah but hardly great for an already struggling taliem bend, it's hard enough losing key players to other leagues let alone a player heading to a rival club, as I have said before I don't understand how players change clubs in the same league and play against their apparent mates that they have abbondened!! tough times ahead for taliem one would think

Grasshopper it wouldnt worry Mannum. Oh how $$ is killing our great game especially country football.
