I think you have done your home work well cougar. what about splitting it into 2 divisions and focussing on the highly likelys more than the unlikelys? Would be intersting to see your take on that.

i could only see 2 division IMO if Aldinga do come in at this stage and not in finishing order.

Zone 1
Mt.Lofty
Uraidla
Blackwood
Mt.Barker
Hahndorf
Onka Valley
Ironbank
Kangarilla
Lobethal
Birdwood

Zone 2
Kersbrook
Torrens Valley
Echunga
Meadows
Bridgewater
Nairne Bremer
Callington
Aldinga
Maccelsfield
Gumeracha

I would of thought that Aldinga would make zone 1? Remember Kangarilla were getting wacked in the SFL then went to HFL and won a premiership in its first year with basically the same side.

If it were to be the two divs (Which is likely) I agree with M80s take.....and his finishing order would be about the same. Just reckon with 3 zones it would improve the standard of footy, the contests would all be closer and it would give some hope to current dwellars Birdwood, Bridgey, Lobey, Callington, Maccy and Gum. Unfortunately and as mentioned previously, unlikely to happen. Reckon that my Zone 2 in the 3 div comp would be a very even bunch.

Useless? Pretty impressive stat in my eyes TDU. The only useless thing abou the stat is the opposition the stat was created against.

Not much to talk about in terms of yesterdays game. Game was over half way through the 1st quarter. You'd think a side playing for a finals birth would put up more of an effort than you blokes did yesterday. The two times I've watched Ironbank this year they've been soft at the footy and attack the man rather than the ball. Yesterday was no different.

Save the trash talk you idiot. Ironbank insipid yes, but attacking the man what a joke. Perhaps you could have been back at the Uraidla clubrooms having a beer with the players like we were instead of jumping on the computer. No annomosity between the players. The only bloke starting trouble on the field was the fat uraidla bloke with the small mullet and it resulted in your CHB back being sent off. The size and skill of Uraidla easily beats our players in the heavy conditions, but it is also for that reason that Lofty will run all over Uraidla. Strong bodies are good in the wet but it has to be balanced with speed in the dry.

I do have respect for the way that they have built a club from scratch in the middle of nowhere. But their match day football is a long way off the mark if ironbank plans to become a respectable club on the field. All club have a couple of blokes who are a bit red around the neck, go the man rather than the ball and enjoy a good fight. But at Ironbank these people account for a fair percentage of the Senior Playing group. Oh and by the way dont write the cabbage cutters yet, Lofty do look good their is no doubt, but Uri are still a good chance to bring home the bacon.

Hardly the same side, there was plenty of change at Kangarilla both on and off the field when the club went to the HFL.

One of the most rediculous things I've ever heard. I don't know if your still living in the past or were very intoxicated but in this current senior group the majority are all 20 21 22 year olds who haven't ever started a fight and rarely get involved in them purely bcos they're not massive boys. Sure there are probably 1 or 2 guys like every club who enjoy the odd biffo. From the weekends game I do believe it was the Uraidla player who got sent off for a blatant punch to IB players head right in front of umpire. But apart from this isolated incident the game was very fair contest.

Attack on the ball you can certainly attack. It was poor. Soft attacks at the ball but that does not in turn mean they went the body. Just means they didn't attack it hard enough. And as was mentioned before the only games this year in which the two teams have got together in the rooms for beers were the games between these two teams both at IB and last week at Uraidla. Do believe the comment in the rooms was " make sure you go in for a beer because these the best bunch of lads you'll play against in the hills"

Widdo was head down ass up in the mud - getting hard ball after hard ball. One of the hardest players I have seen on a football field. Would even take his own teammate out if it needed to be done.

Yeah right he was on the bench crying because it was raining.

There were alot of the same faces, especially in the B grade but the A grade team was totally different. Guys like Guitnick, Walfried, Griffiths, Yates, Daniele, Burton, Walsh, Stringer all came into the side which allowed the likes of the Wakefield boys and Trent Thorpe to have a greater impact as they did not have to do it all alone.

No arguements on the match day football, very inconsistent. However, if you are going to say the playing group are snipers you need to back it up. Give us some names or numbers. I can think of only one bloke in our side who doesn't mind a good scrimmage and there was one for Uraidla. I already mentioned who the Uraidla bloke was. The bloke sent off also lost the plot but didn't seem like the type to do it regularly. If you want some respect on here you need to post intelligent comments or some back up to controversial statements. That post contained neither.

The Devils have had one for the last 2 seasons.....it's called back to back to back.

Let it you you dumbass, you're missing the point and just making yourself look more and more stupid.

Oh and I'll always be happy to walk back into the clubrooms at Heathfield and see my pic up on the wall in 3 premiership winning photos.

Kersbrook invited everyone from it's B grade dynasty of flags from 93-97 in it's 97 'A' grade premiership reunion. 5 years in a row was pretty special for Kym Pearce's troops, and not many people can say they played in 5 in succession, regardless of the grade.

i have played 9 years of seniors now and never won one in any grade even juniors.. i would kill for a flag in any grade.

And not to bang on this topic for too much longer, but the Devs had the great man Doug Hawkins talking at the club after training on Tuesday night. Played over 350 VFL/AFL games, All Australian, represented his State. Biggest thrill in Football was winning 6 Junior premierships from U/12's thru to u/18's. Premiership wins. No matter what grade. His words.

So can anyone fill us in on the actual state of Mt Barker oval. Should be an interesting outing tomorrow. We've had some serious rain over the past couple weeks! Not that we can really complain.

Well 2 weeks ago, Mt Barker looked similar to Heathfield on Wednesday night
I can just imagine what it might look like now....

Meanwhile, at the worst oval in the hills, you can still bounce a footy on 90% of the oval

Mt Lofty would win anywhere against anyone in any conditions
Hahndorf seem to be going ok and should beat Ironbank
Bridgy will win at home because not many of the Birdwood players can swim
Onkas to upset Blackwood. Their tall guys will struggle in the conditions
Loby to beat Uri's, yeah right, maybe in next century!!!
